Di Natale stepping down as leader of the Greens what do you reckon Jimmy time for SHY to ascend to the throne?

I didn’t know where he’s worked other than UWA and, currently, everywhere in the media.

I think SHY would be good for the Greens but, alas, I think Adam Brandt will get it. SHY is just too mentally stable for the job.
Shame actually: I’d like to see the documentary Sea Patrol back on TV
If we are referring to SHY as the stable one then I think that says it all.

Exactly, she is a friggin looney

Mentally stable and SHY.
Not a phrase I'd associated with her before?

This topic should really LNP watch as it's like a bloody soap opera at the moment.

Bandt the Greens leader as expected. He has a long history with the Unions so wonder if the Greens become a little cosier with the ALP?

The Tony Abbott reign (aka Peta Credlin reign) seems normal in comparison.

The attitude of Barnaby's faction within the Nats makes me think of this song.

The rorting revelations continue. Scotty from Marketing up to his neck in Sports Rorts and there were at least five other spending programs where he used public money to bribe marginal electorates.

Me either. I've met her a few times at functions.

She has a tendency to get angry and talk over people who don't entirely toe her line - Mark Parnell is a much more reasonable person.
(So is Cory Bernardi who would at least politely discuss things he didn't entirely agree with.)

Have to also disagree vehemently with the comment... try talking to Corey Bernardi about faith matters; seems very reluctant to want to listen to anyone who supported Vatican II or wanting any leadership given to the lay person and taken away from bishops and priests.

So what you're saying is you wouldn't find Pope John XXIII's home number in his filofax. ;)

Parnell has been less than reasonable regarding the GM moratorium. He has been pig-headed and ignored all evidence.

With all Friedbrains' comments re the surplus, it is interesting to note that the LNP came to govt in Sep '13 and the 13/14 deficit ended up being $48BN. The ALP's final deficit was just $19BN in 12/13, down from $54BN three years earlier following the GFC.
All the same, I am glad to see that their fixation on a surplus is seeming to lessen. It is critical to stimulate the economy at the moment, a surplus is the last thing we need!
