I would have no trouble if he was sworn in as various ministers as a safeguard in the early days of vivid. There is no way it is anything but underhanded when the affected ministers had no knowledge, What possible reason would there be for not telling them?

I stand by my post from 2years ago that Dutton intervened regarding the Ruby Princess in order to get the Hillsong hierarchy off the vessel and to the airport.

The grim reaper isn't nice, are we going to ban that dress up too?
What about going as a witch?
Some people are upset by clowns, better ban them too.
Footballers have a higher level of toxic masculinity than the general population, lets ban kids from dressing up as a footballer for book week.

25 years ago a bloke went to a fancy dress party as a nazi, who cares.

40 years ago I went to school dress up day as Clive Lloyd, fully painted myself in brown Scuff Stuff as he was my favorite cricketer at the time.

Times have changed and I wouldn’t do that again, I’m sure he wouldn’t dress as a Nazi again. We all have learnt.

For those critical of him, ever done anything when you were younger that you regret now?

Remember his comments in 2020

Mr Perrottet was discussing the future of Services NSW centres, and pointed to renewing driver's licenses on mobile phones as an example of how well they work.

'You can't do that in any other state in this country (but NSW), the digital driver's license. Well they've got one in Adelaide but it's pretty poor,' Mr Perrottet said.

'Like most things out of Adelaide.'

Dom is a idiot no doubt and I can’t stand him but I do find the timing of things amazing. He announces his big platform is a review on gambling and especially the big clubs in NSW and suddenly within 24hrs there is a photo of him in a Nazi outfit from 20 years ago :)

it seems NSW Liberals haven't learned lessons of the past 10 months https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-01-13/dominic-perrottet-digs-in-amid-nazi-costume-storm/101851782

Take home message from this, chuck the house on labor in NSW

Well now I've read it all, comparing dressing up as a mythical character or a meathead footballer to dressing up as a Nazi. Laughable false equivalence.

Interesting though that you mention 'bans'. I feel like you're jumping the gun a bit going for the 'cancel culture' angle which I haven't really seen brought up yet re Perottet.

Although it should be noted that Perottet's own government recently banned the display of swastikas in NSW. I myself am very uncomfortable with any measures that impinge free expression, and am still wrestling with whether I would support such a ban in SA. But worth pointing out that Perrotet's (right-wing) government has already enacted a ban that you are inferring would be silly.

Evidently quite a lot of people, such as Holocaust survivors, according to media reports.

My view is that while clearly a bad mistake, Perottet should not be judged on this one incident and it should not preclude him from being premier. Even murderers don't get life, etc. etc. But your 'who cares' comment is extremely ignorant.
