Indigenous Land Rights versus Title Deeds

Postby Sojourner » Wed Jul 20, 2011 7:57 pm

The Salvation Army have a Social Justice Department which deals with various issues such as Human Trafficking and Fair Trade products and so on, anyway this week they interview - Bob Katter.

I was not aware that Land Rights dont equal actual Deeds to land and that as a result indigenous people are not able to access title deeds to their homes and are restricted from being able to own and run their own banana farms and so on in Qld.

Naturally Bob goes on with what he wants to say, but in the second half of the interview when he comes to his points it actually becomes quite interesting and challenging.
