Interesting, of all the publications I thought that the Left Leaning "The Punch" had a pretty good article in today which sums up a few thoughts!

My thoughts....

Mr.Thompson - dodgy as hell. Needs to come clean and raise his hand.....but Im sure I will be shot down by the faithful Labor posters on here as I dont have the EVIDENCE.

Unfortunately Labor folk...there is evidence!!!!! ...and you know it!!!

Gillard's response - Weak as water.....usual robotic throw away lines that typify Labor as spineless and gutless.

perhaps reserve comment until after the lynch mob has found the evidence :Hangman:

if he is guilty then post away
if he is innocent then hes reputation has already been tarnished by a smear campaign

well i believe she is to go before a court of law? I cant think of reading or seeing anywhere that the libs are trying to avoid the fact that she maybe guilty? Unlike gillard and the labor part trying to avoid everything about thomson!?

is that the best article you could find?? Cant see anything in that article where abbott has said that she is not guilty or she shouldnt be going to court. In fact i see that he clearly says she will have her day in court dont you see that too?? I think the thomson affair maybe be just a LITTLE BIT on the higher scale of poor acts than jo fisher wouldnt you? She maybe has done one poor thing but i think you and i both know thru all parts of media reports with proof that thomson is a dodgy labor thug!

Have you proof that says her defense is that she is a nutter? I have not seen that anywhere that says that her defense is going to be that? What is thomsons excuse ?? That he is a sex nympho and a thief?? And gillards problems with her memory what is her problem? Cant remember certain phone calls etc:?? cmon get real.......

Best on Hill and Straight Talker - personally I'd prefer it if people avoided describing people with mental health problems as being nutters". A tad insensitive and outdated IMHO."Go and have a look at the beyondblue website sometime.

FWIW - Andrew Robb and Tony Abbott have both said MJF has been experiencing mental health problems and that this will be raised in her defence in court.

Thompson's defence, FWIW, relies on his assertion that the misuse of the credit card was by another person who he has not named.

While the two matters have some parallels, I'm not convinced personally that they are any more alike than apples and oranges.
