Big thumbs up to Willaston Runner Andre Boers on letting the premier know his thoughts!

No consultation.
No knowledge of social and economic impact.
This is a precident for cost cutting of services by this govt. What service will go next?

Mr Weatherill, show some leadership, or do you share the same arrogance of your previous leader, Mr Rann?

Will do as well, I often use this ferry, even though I don't live in Cadell, but these people are doing it tough. For instance the Cadell Club has one paid employee, all others are volunteers and they do a great job and is a tribute to community spirit. The government can waste hundreds of $millions on an oval upgrade we don't need yet decide to shaft a small town. So much for Labor looking after battlers

Good old Jay said that he would consult with the local councils if there was an issue that could effect the areas. No consultation on this subject. If this is how they are going to govern our state then what community will be next.We are living in dangerous times.

It was announced on Twitter that the government has back flipped on the Cadell ferry. Good news for the battlers of Cadell.

Really? I'm surprised Minister Conlon can spell let alone go on twitter! Oh hang about - that would have been one of his staffers. Of course.

It was actually Mike Smithson from Channel 7. Although I do agree with the comment regarding Conlon who should have been cleaned out along with Rann, Foley and Atkinson.

Absolutely fantastic! I'm not going to get into the politics of it all, but i had a beer or three at the Cadell Club tonight and it was like a GF. The community here is amazing and every one of them deserves a pat on the back, not to mention the support from across the Riverland and the whole of SA. Thankyou SA footy posters!

Sad the government is getting pats on the back for this. All they've done is leave things as they were originally after putting people through a nightmare for a while. Guess if you can't have a policy just cut something, change your mind and it makes people feel like you did something!

It was amusing hearing the Minister on ABC radio (891) this morning trying to avoid admitting that the Premier had over-ruled him, and pretend that he hadn't been happy with the closure all along - especially when asked, next, why he then went ahead and announced instead of raising his concerns with the boss first...
