Now it's going to be a postal vote that won't count.

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

Just had a discussion with some dinosaurs here at my work, and they seem to think the world is going to fall into chaos. Adults can marry kids, and their pets. Kids will be brain washed into being gay. Unbelievable. It was actually pretty comical and a little sad that people actually think like that

Now that the vote is over, we can get back to more important matters at hand - like who is going to bat 6 for Australia in the upcoming Ashes series.

Ask them if religion should be taught in schools.

And remind them that gay people are always the product of straight people, and presumably those who have children inside marriage.

What a waste of money, would have only been worth it if we could deport the 39% and make this country a much better place.

There would be less Labor voters then Wedgie

0:15 / 9:058:50 Antony Green
"There's 12 seats in Sydney which voted no, 9 of them Labor seats, three of them Liberal seats," Antony Green on the surprises in voting patterns

I doubt it (only way to work that oht is have a breakdown of everyones voting preference and what they voted from the entire nation) but dont care anyway. Be worth it to get rid of Tony Abbott, religious wankers and bigots.

PS Just looked at what happened in SA, seat of Adelaide had over 70% yes votes and only in the country seats was there less than 60% yes votes. Looks like we would lose a hell of a lot more Liberal or Nat voters in our state according to your flawed analysis.

Seems to be working class and immigrant communities along with rural residents that most strongly voted no.

Much of Western Sydney were no votes from what I saw, so yes, perhaps the communities of immigrants in that region were against the notion.

Me? I'm happy they live in a democracy like ours. I'm even happier I don't have to adhere to some of the prehistoric, barbaric beliefs they once lived under.
