Rudd's apology meant a lot to the aboriginal people, and was certainly a stepping stone in the right direction. Far more so than the midget's "I didn't do it it's not my fault" attitude. The pathetic little man didn't even have the decency to attend parliament on the day.
As for exceptional ecomonic management one could argue the platforms were put in place under Keating's time in treasury, and besides I don't call cutting government and public services and hanging onto tax dollars so a surplus can be achieved "ecomonic management" I call it what it is THEFT!!!! I don't pay taxes so some suit in Canberra can say "Look I've got a surplus" I pay taxes so that money is put back into the community...where it should go!!!!
Resources boom??? Well when one in seven dollars from that "boom" is going back into the Australian ecomony I wonder if it's a boom for Australia or a boom for overseas share holders.
But as we know politics is like football. You can talk til you are blue in the face but you'll never get someone to change sides.
