Another draw. 2 in 2 weeks. But surprising did Willaston play well or south of the boil?

Wasnt there but by all reports was quite a hard fought game. South kicked a goal right on the siren but the scoreboard still had Willaston winning by a point. Consultation between the umps and the score was adjusted.

South had at least 6 or 7 out. Started very well but Willaston fought back into the game and it was an arm wrestle from then on. Willaston had their chances to close out the game in the last qtr but were wayward at goal. South would have been 2 goals down with 2 minutes left.

Was rather satisfying to see some vocal Willaston supporters hurling abuse and jeering and then discovering the final score.

Fantastic crowd at Freeling - the new "barn" looked full of people, Lots around after the game, for what was a great day put on by home team.
It was Kapunda's day in the footy though taking home the honours and the cup. A tough hard game by two teams who will shape the finals, maybe one might creep in. Kapunda have some good new additions that fill holes in team from last couple of years, jumped Freeling early and gradually drew away.
By the sound of the score, Nuri sounded an ominous warning to the other clubs. What about Tanunda?

The upsets continue, Ango coming from 10 points down at 3/4 time to win by 31 over Tanunda, not sure how Tanunda beat Central last week.

Looks like the game over at nuri would've been a good game to be at. Anyone there that can tell us how it unfolded??

Silly free kick given away by Bombers in last minute or so put Nuri in front. Before that Kapunda looked like winners in last quarter. No score after that.
Bombers probably should have won, like they should've against South. Instead they're 2 and 2.
Looks like a really tight and even season to be had.

So with Hadden being named as zone coach (good work aswell) can we expect some invited being sent out soon? And who from each club might pop across

A great initiative from South Gawler and Gawler Central this weekend.
Some wonderful co-operation between the two clubs for an important cause.
Well done to all involved.

He was kicking them from everywhere. Good hanger in the first quarter, as well.
Couldn't believe the ease of GC's forward insertions - the Lions just didn't have the power to go with them.

Good to see Benny Walter continuing his form in the magoos. Hopefully they can find space for him in the seniors.

A Mail Medalist to return for Gawler South?

You don't reckon that's going backwards a bit - he'd have to be nearly 50 now - BH.

Speaking of blokes in their 40's Matt Doecke plays game number 400 saturday week versus Kapunda @ Angaston. A magnificent achievement and something that hasnt been done before in this league and isnt likely to be repeated. I think he has missed 2 games in his whole career, one of them was for an exam.
