Richard Horgan is coaching tumby this year and by all reports he may have his work cut out too. Sources tell me he will be a playing coach at that!!!

Your sources can't be real good then HappyDemon. He said on Saturday there is no way he will be playing this year and he was prepared to lay a wager on it!!

Don't think Ferret will be at Ramblers either....

EU have re-signed all players from last year including: M.Fraser, B.Schramm, J.Schramm, J.Christian, D.Noble, Z.Christian, C.Yagar, A.Castley....the only straggler from last years line up been M.Parker - so i guess no mass exodus this year maverick?

Will need more than those names White Tips, Yes you will play in a first semi well done, and you may even get to shag HS on his 100th game night.
Lock big improvers, respected tough coach will fire them up. Cougers to finish second.
Whos HS?

Need to give it a rest on the Council thing rm. Who maintains your precious 'little' oval? Get over it! Liked the 'cage' call panther, they would be used to watching life through metal bars.
panther are you interested in coaching in the next few years?

Something I have thought about RR, but it is a big committment. Maybe Ranger B's or 17's in a few years for a start........

panther, think you need to change your name to gerzumped or maybe even namedropper. As if Horgan will be sprouting to 'outsiders' that he is intending to play this year FFS. Given the importance of the year, and the make-up of the guy he will pull the boots on this year, nothing surer. Wasn't playing last year either IIRC.

The letter the PLCA has sent out has obviously promoted this site as we see new posters on here, the site is more designed for topic talks and everyones different point of view with a little bit of stirring to posters of which we know their identity. Slinging off at other clubs or leagues is probably best left alone as it doesnt give us or the site much credibility. Just my opinion that stirring up a mate is fine but putting a club or assoc/league/officials down is not the way to go.

Kane Smytzer will need to set a weight carrying record for SA to win that class 5 I reakon.
Wats your 2YO grub? Ours has only just come into the stables...wont race till after the carnival..if at all this year.
Had a look at the 2YO for Vic Park on Saturday...Hayes has 8 of the 13 runners....must have a good one among them...wants to make sure the race holds up....also see that Levite is now trained by Coz snr.

Should be interesting to se what weight KS gets and what its up against. It was nominated for the 2003 MElb Cup. Manetti was allocated 68kg and went around a few years ago. What do you think they will give it? Rossy reckons Smytzer wants to win the Linc Cup with it. Interesting to see Yartebery in the Open Hcp too, if that happens, apparently he's being set for the Cup too.
Dont get many Zabeel's running around PL. Just looked up previous form of KS....has won a Sandown Class 6, 2nd Sandown behind The Little Tacker and run in 2 x Group 3s behind Super Impressive and Zazzman.
Our 2yo is Eagle Flu, ran second last... now out... might give it a 3yo prep as it doesnt have much zip at the moment.... they say it might be a stayer but thats what they always say about the slow ones so you give them a good prep and the trainer and riders get money out of ya.
Doing an ad with Sam Hayes at the minute... might ask him whats the best of those 2yo's btb!

Now that this thread has reached 70 pages have you considered splitting into EP Footy and EP Cricket?
Or have you any other ideas.

Cheers

Brad - a lot of us are involved with both and both have intersting issues come up during on and off season, we keep everything together and it seems to work fine. Probably more popular during footy season. Would you agree wcp? Wouldnt have the same impact splitting the two.

I reckon we'll just keep the one, it's good when we branch off on to other topics etc. Good post regarding the slinging off grub, should always try to only post what you would say to someone's face.
