I know they need to wait and see who finishes where first, but generally they have a fair idea by now?
Surely the GF goes back to Maccy this year? Easily the best ground/facilities for it.
Callington is better than it used to be, but Bridgey will more than likely be in it, so can't be there.

Should be announced next week

I know it wouldn't be the easiest job to organise finals ovals but surely you could see that it is a reasonable possibility that Bridgewater and Kersbrook could play each other in second week of finals and they are programmed in for that week

I agree Kick'n'back.
There's a chance that Ironbank pip kersbrook at the post for third spot, but all that means is don't schedule the first qualifying final at kersbrook.
Go to the next best oval(condition wise) after the recent/current rain, and play it there!

There's only 3 teams really that can be playing in that first final, with Nairne having pretty much locked away top spot. So just don't play it at any of those grounds.

Its the same with the qualifying finals next week at Nairne.

Is the qualifying final at Nairne?

The only grade they go by is A grade. The GF last year was at Birdwood(god knows why)
And Birdwood had the reserves playing and I'm pretty sure they had at least one junior side playing if I'm not mistaken.

I'm OK with it going by a grade but if its avoidable why have 3 grades with a home final makes zero sense when Nairne can have the elimination finals and all is good!

That's a good point. I agree.

That's a decent effort to have 3 teams playing in the first qualifying final. With the A grade already through to a semi, I think as well as mini colts.
Time for them to go up maybe?

Nairne's mini colts are undefeated and should stay that way

Final Round this week, with a couple of games that will determine who gets the double chance

Gumeracha v Macclesfield
Meadows v Bridgewater
Kersbrook v Nairne
Kangarilla v Ironbank

If Ironbank have a pretty decent win over Kangy and Nairne take care of Kersbrook, then Ironbank will grab 3rd spot and the double chance. If this happens, Kersbrook will face off against Gumeracha in the elimination final at Birdwood and Bridgewater play Ironbank in the Qualifying final at Nairne.

I wouldn't bank on Kersbrook losing mate, they have a habit of winning when they shouldn't haha!

My tips for the week.
Ironbank by 20 goals( because they have to)
Bridgey by 10 goals
Birdwood by 8 goals
Kersbrook by 5 points.

Should that be Gums by 8 goals?

Birdwood A's are well and truly into end of season mode. Their B grade don't play again until 2nd semi

Who does everyone think is the best side on their day?

I think playing their best footy anyone of the top 4 are pretty much even.
But from what I've seen personally, at their absolute best, Nairne are hard to beat.

Nairne are the best side we have played a big ruckmen has helped them also having ladhams at permanent ff makes them a lot stronger than last year and I believe a more finals ready team

Yes, sorry keefy!

Yeah I agree, although I have probably watched more of Nairne than anyone else living in Mount Barker, and it's a good place to watch the footy being above the oval everywhere.
Bridgey have a strangle hold over them though. Ironbank seem to have a very good spread of players without having to rely on a few, watched them a few times and no one really stood out for me, but didn't have any weak players.

Good call toto. Personally id say there is 3 teams that can win the flag as i just cant see kersbrook winning it as they are a bit to slow (they certainly know how to prove people wrong tho). Nairne would be favourites but bridgey have the edge over them at the minute so who knows. As for us we are confident as like you said we are an even team and we have proven to be one of the form teams over the second half of the year. Going to be a fascinating finals series though as even gumeracha are a sneaky chance having proven them self by beating ironbank & bridgy during the year. Its fantastic to see div 2 in such an even competition.
