Super effort to Ty Price, very classy footballer & it makes 3 in a row with (at least), 1 in Roxby the year before he came to SGL. Very nice lad, honest (& very good) footballer!

Agree that this shapes up to be a very even final series i'm tipping: Saturday, Sollies, Central, Port & Sunday, Lions, West West

Finals:

PORT PIRIE

Saturday 10/9/11

10.30am Sollies v South (QF)

12.20pm Port v Central (EF)

2.10pm Port v Central (QF)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

PORT AUGUSTA

Sunday 11/9/11

10.30am Lions v West (EF)

12.20pm Lions v West (QF)

2.10pm South v West (EF)

My selections in bold.

Why aren't all the all the ef and qf played on the same day, seems bizarre!

It makes financial sense for the clubs, having to send one bus instead of two on seperate days.

Quigley has only played 3 games this season due to work commitments, it would have to be a fair risk to bring him back in to pinch hit for a final - regardless of his obvious talent. Not sure about Callary but he didn't play last week either, injured??

My mail is the umpires were reasonably ordinary both ways on Saturday and missed a lot of head high stuff, which caused tempers to flare a couple of times.

Forecast fine and 33 degrees next Saturday in Augusta. Ouch!!
