What a joke - finals this weekend at Birdwood and Gumeracha with a wet week and weekend on the way.

Why can’t the same ovals be used more than once in a finals series? Surely using a firm and dry Maccy, Callington or Kersbrook oval would be better.

If it’s about $$$ for the hosting club, then let Gums or Birdwood run a BBQ on the outer wing.

Common sense must prevail.

One hundred percent agree with this. Honestly im pretty sure most of our blokes would be happy to play kersbrook at kersbrook rather then playing at birdwood.

Absolutely agree as well. Just give the clubs who don’t host a final a percentage of all takings from canteen/bar/bbq. At the end of the day it’s about the football not money, like everything else in the world.

Why would Bridgewater get rid of the coach before the end of the season just because he is coaching another team next year? That team didnt make the finals so theres no conflict there. Doesnt pay to be honest does it

Bit quiet here, i thought it would be massive news that a coach was sacked on the eve of a finals match

Yes, he walked out in disgust at the sacking of the Coach.....

or

He was injured last week, was at the game today geeing the boys up in the breaks, and singing the club song after the game.

which one of the above do you really think is true ?

Interested to hear your thoughts on the sacking of the coach and the way it was handled?

Went up to Gumeracha yesterday for a look, ordinary game of footy of footy for a half but found life in the second half.

Hooper did what he wanted, think Nairne tried to put some things in place for him but either didn’t work or weren’t executed properly. Waller’s last quarter was ridiculously good. Binder going down for Nairne meant Hein had to go into the ruck and Nairne’s structure sorta broke down without him forward, game changed from there. Looked like Nairne by how far when five goal up half way through the third, credit to Bridgey, they never thought they were out of it. Massive effort without Serle and McDonald. Thought Gamma was best for Nairne.

Surely he means Nicholson from Kersbrook and probably Hooper from Bridgewater
