At his height, he will be handy. But not as hood as you would expect. Still handy. Enough

any tall that can play a 'little' would have been handy for the bombers in the past couple of seasons, however thats all in the past .... i think the bombers problems this year will be getting it to the forwards, rather then whos up there.

Spoke to a few Cleve and Rudall players on the weekend and I dont think either of them will be contenders. Sounds like they are basically going through the motions until the merger.

Dylan Eatts - Cummins Kapinnie to Kimba I presume
Brett Bray - Ports to Bostons
Jonno Hunt - Cowell to Tumby Bay
Tony Evans - Rudall to Wudinna
Ryan Montgomerie - Mallala to Cowell
Dwayne Dunn - Callington to ???

both will struggle by the sounds, evans leaving rudall is a big loss for them, but his been keen to merge for a while now, and with it not happening dosent surprise me he wants to play in more competitive teams.

eatts has moved back to kimba by the sounds.

dunn played for cleve and rudall around 10 years ago, not sure where his playing, but id imagine 1 of them 2 clubs ??

Chris Beaty by far the FASTEST bowler Eastern Eyre League has seen for years and possibly allrounder status as well. Apparently when he was asked "why did you desert your Cleve team mates" his response was, it wasnt a challenge playing down in that league. We welcome him back to northies

You've got to be kidding. Pud Siebert was easily faster than him, Brayden Hean was also rather nippy. Justin Peters could send them down as well. Nick Schumann also had some zing. Beaty was handy pace.

well you should ask him how many runs/wickets/catches he took in the 2010/2011 cricket grand final. O thats right he deserted the cleve cricket club to play for a team that nearly cheated there way into grand final!

Some handy bowlers there On Song, but how about we pick an Eastern Eyre First X1 team
here we go from my point of veiw
1. Carl Jetski
2. Tom Kenny
3. M Deer
4. D Ramsey
5. J Humphries
6. G Burns
7. R Paxton
8. D Walden
9. K Siebert
10. Shane Dean
11. Keith Hughes
12th man. T McFarlane(guaranteed cold drinks)

Try and beat that side Gentlemen

I think Tim Ramsey is hard done by to miss out. Virtually unplayable. Daniel Lee (rip) for the keeping possie. His last few years were exemplary with the bat and unbeatable with the gloves.

not sure how many games tim played in the old cleve and districts and then eastern eyre comp but was a super handy cricketer in the kimba comp. danial lee one word to discribe him "GUN" not only in cricket but in all sports that he played in.

I thought this was a football thread - If you want to talk cricket go to the ' EP Football - PLFL, GFFL, MWFL, FWFL, EEFL ' thread.

Sorry for one last cricket talk but ive had a giggle! There are at least 4 bowlers quicker the Chris in Whyalla alone, and there is no-one super quick in Whyalla. In the described prelim final he only bowled about 5 or 6 overs without taking a wicket and went for a run a ball. Then came in to bat at number 9. Find it hard to believe he is the quickest on EP and a genuine allrounder. Understand if it was a joke! Onto the footy.

To be honest 200KW, there's about 8 blokes who post on this thread, so a small discussion about eastern eyre cricket is hardly hijacking the thread.

On the footy front, Tom Forrest played well for Hummocks today, as did cousin Tim.
