Jacko and Barrat also played with the phantoms, Jacko told he wasnt required after 6 games. this was over 8 years ago though and he might have improved.

Barrat only played two games a couple of years ago and looked way out of place in div 2 SAAFL. Way too slow.

Played against Smelty when he played for Payneham and to tell you the truth he didnt set the world on fire and then settled for the easy country game of footy. Highly overated.

Dont worry though boys, you will get all your players back once the money dries up and I can guarantee when this happens smelty will find another club to rob. He will only coach a club with money.

regardless of what anyone says the big man is one of the most organised coaches i have come across

when was the last time you have seen Caldwell Big Balls???

I think you need to check the facts about Jacko aswell, He left the phantoms due to following his mate Silvy to Kangarilla from my understanding it was because Silvy had a run in with coach (Gary Peach) at the time Jacko left on that note only was never told he wasnt required, (Fact)

Barrat probably was over weight when he played at the phantoms after only just moving down from Darwin. looks fitter than ever at the moment.

all these lads are keen as and have already been training, Keener than what they have been in years all are quite handy when not that interested so with them excited about the new changes and challenges ahead who will know what will happen?

and then you bag the big man coming off a 112 goal season, Played league footy, won flags etc if he is OVERRATED

YOU MUST RATE YOURSELF PRETTY HIGH!

Once was, as i know you are a good friend of Coreys I think sometimes your opinions are clouded.

Not a bad email for someone with a cracking headache, except one of the last sentences doesnt make sense, again this could have been your headache.

:-? You had all those coaches? Terry coached last in 86 i believe (92 at Meningie), Gary Attrill in 91, Smelty early 2000's. Thats a big gap, and you say Rick Davies coached you as well :-?

Geez BBK how old r u?? Terry Connelly, then Gary Attrill, then Gary Peach all at Tailem that spans about 10 years just there, & that was 12 years ago, And now your a Magpie!! If your playing u must be around 40 lol.

As for the big Creamy, I'm sure he is exactly what Karoonda need right now, someone who can put life back into the club with recruits, plus Bar & Canteen takings ;)

JUST" wondering how the recruiting is going when all smelt can do is keep pestering tailem bends local lads and offer ridiculous figures, as a previous coach off tailem bend its fair game to have a crack at players he recruited to the club but trying to poach local lads and offer money that tailem cannot afford and are not paying anyway is off the radar. I wish Karoonda all the best this year and Ive been through good times & bad times at football clubs and no how important it is to recruit players when a lot off country towns struggle to field enough quality A graders
but "MR SMELT" their are right ways about doing things and it wouldn't be the first time you have shafted clubs or friends would it

shoe boy yes Tailem Bend is paying money to recruits but not many clubs will pay their locals and i think you mist my point ex coaches off clubs trying to poach players that are already at the club but especially local players

Firstly let me say- I completely understand what your saying Scratchy, however my Question is- Do you have a problem with Radar, and the like playing for Tailem, because they have come to your club with Creamy originally. You cant have it both ways. Teams like Karoonda will always look to the RMFL for imports, because its a higher standard of footy, & good RMFL locals are the obvious target because more then likely they AREN"T getting paid by THEIR local club.

But I do understand what your saying!! I heard he offered a few of the Imps & Mypo boys some pretty large figures which must have been tempting for them. It seems loyalty is not as dead as everyone makes out which makes my heart all warm & fuzzy
