Thats a safe bet Hills because Jervois only fielded a young side too, that keeps out a lot of their guns - but as for their better players not training........ thats never a good sign

As previously posted Jervois fielded a young team but as expected, Sturts U 19's were fit fast and had been training for a while so it wasnt as if it wasnt going to happen. Eyer, woodhouse, Mahony, Knobby didnt play and had T Rigney out of the middle. It was a good hit out though from some of the younger blokes.

Yes i think this weeks match against Mt Lofty will give a far better indication of just how Jervois are travelling.

Can I ask why Jervois would not play there guns?
Surely none of them are actually that good they need to rested like AFL veterans - what is country footy coming to??
Did Jeremy Rigney play??
Surely sturts u/19s are not that good, they dont start training till Jan at U/19 level and even then the good ones are still training and playing in the senior sides so it would not have been sturts best u/19 team either.

I think we can sum up that Jervois werent taking it too seriosly, I was talking to one of their leading goalkickers of '06 in the local pub that day and he wasn't to worried about not playing. The story will be different in the Lofty game - they wont be mucking around there.

What are the predictions for this sat nights trial between the bloods & Lofty. Have heard that the devils started training in November with solid numbers on the track. 36 last night evidently. Should be interesting line up with 10 or so colts coming up from the premiership winning u17's. Adds to the depth seeing as both senior sides won the flag with only dropping one game each during 2006.

Either way, should be a good hit out for both clubs. Hopefully a good crowd will be on hand for the encounter. Night games always seem to attract a few extra heads.

Hills, do you know if any of the Sturt Under 19's who played were from the RMFL, guys such as Dylan Hogarth, Brodie Martin etc? If so, do you know how any of them went?

You seem to think to know who I am, who might you be?

A former teammate, opponent or just bum on the hill.

Either way I couldn't care less.

Any more info on Ramblers is over, bring on the season ladies.

Never said anything about all 10 playing A's. I said 10 players coming into reigning A's & B's premier squads.

Imps

Postby Bandit » Thu Mar 15, 2007 4:15 pm

Anyone got info on Imperials? pretty quiet on what they're up to...
I hear Aspel is going Naracoorte direction this year after playing at 4 RMFL clubs. Surely Seyers wont be leaving but what about Shiell? If he plays I imagine they'll still be a force but even then I dont think they will be able to keep up with Ramblers and Jervois... Maybe slipping down the ladder for the first time in a while with Mypo sounding allright at this stage too...
Things might get tight for top 5 possies at finals time
