I remember in the bad old days when a blue and red club didn't come into the bar at Loxton after a game.
Sometimes, it just reflects the morale of the club.

wasn't fiery at all. also, I can't remember since being involved with the club, when nobody from our team didn't go into the opposition's club for a beer. Weak as piss.

It's happened at least once. I remember it because Loxton hosted the first game of the season between the clubs and no one from Berri came in. The favour was returned the next time around.

Well, I don't think the Loxton blokes are holding a grudge from 10 years ago! The Berri boys have definitely been good at going in since 2006 at least. I can remember a couple of 100+ thrashings at Loxton with at least 15 Berri people in their clubrooms.

Credit to the Loxton president, who did make it in and said a few words on the microphone, and credit to the majority of the teams in the comp, who seem to make it in whether they win or lose.

I think every club does it at some point or other. Often, maybe not in this case, it's a reflection of the type of game it was, or a lack of morale. And I did say it happened early in the century, which was probably before 2006.

The best club at getting into the rooms after, in my experience, is Waikerie.
And yes, Berri has been pretty good too.
In the Indys, Paringa were pretty good, as were Wunkar.

With finals just around the corner it's great to see The Murray Pioneer has ramped up it's love in for it's two favourite footballers in Scholefield and Safralidis with respective back page and P3 of todays edition. I wish I was getting the fines these two must have to pay for getting their photo's in every second bloody edition, let the love in continue
