EP Sport - back with a vengeance

Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

Postby brideyorielly » Tue Jan 31, 2006 8:07 pm

Can't really understand why people are bagging ravendale so much. Where else is footy going to be played?? Not much we can do about it with only 4 other ovals to use and of those there are only 2 ovals that you would say are of any quality (Cent and Wang).

I'm looking forward to having a kick on the new oval when I get back and reckon that it'll have more atmosphere simply because there'll be crowds there from both footy and hockey. To me this is much more appealing than playing in front of a crowd of 15 at Poole or MP.

BTB - has TG talked up any more tennis matches?? Reckon we could take you and Rosco next time, double or nothing!!

Big win today for EP vs Fleurio Peninsula. EP 208, Dope Ramsey in form with 58 & Gourlay & Smithy 20 odd each. Struddy & Sammy 2 wkts each. Play Mid North tomorrow at Salsibury, win that & have a good show.
Scoob, there is, & only ever will be the one ANGELINA!! Aahh, what wonderful memories!

Working on the next two terms at present BTB...should be back just in time for this year's footy trip! Just hoping that they maintain the standards set in previous years.

Big summer on the court this year Fatty and I'll be practicing during your off-season so when I get back you better be ready. Just call me the stretcher cos that's what Tommy will be calling me after I have to carry him for 2 sets....

If Snozza really is Smithy...G'day Rhino Nuts!!

bluesthelittleboy is a gun, cuts a mean figure on the court and is unbeatable on the Eyre Peninsula. Has the meanest serve and clocked at 196 km ph. Craig Riedy would be up there also.
Training tommorow nite biggles, see you there. Talking to the coach I think we have a light run planned and an easy kick to start things off. We should get a few of the boys together and all go to the caberet Sat night. Is your brother really coming back to PL? I Heard that last nite from someone who knows Ray.

Riedy only plays socialy doesnt he?
Waybacks will sell Windsor Ave and move into the old Gymnastics (PT Linc Show shed) so they can watch all the action at Ravendale, If anyone wants to buy a blue tarp theres one going cheap!

Lincoln South will also sell their clubrooms and move to the telephone boxes near the post office, should be very spacious for ALL their supporters.
Bostons should rent out their clubrooms and just have after match drinks in the classy changerooms.

least we have our own oval maverick. Unlike 3 of our so called 'foundation' clubs who are all bickering over Ravendale. Think its time to stop talking about Ravendale.

EP UPDATE***

The lads are on fire.. Those people bagging the EP Selections may need a re-think..They may not have a lot of big name players but are playing some great cricket... On Monday they rolled Murray Districts, they flogged Fleurieu yesterday for the 1st time in years and currently playing Mid North.
Bowled Mid North out for 141 and currently EP 3 for 75..

All Lincoln lads have contributed with Ben Smith & Gourlay making 20s and Struddy has taken 3 wickets so far the WindsorAveDemon taking 6 wickets so far... As I thought he bowls far better at the carnival than in Lincoln..
Wade Shepperd from up the coast the star today with 5wickets..

Be fantastic if they can keep it together and win the carnival, something EP hasn't done since late 70s early 80s..

Just FYI for everyone to have been talking to a fellow IT guru who is involved with the Rural Press offices (PL Times).

This website has NOT been banned from the PL office, so grub is full of shit and is either RR, RM or MAV.
