EP UPDATE*** Batting collapse and lost by 5 runs.. Heartbreaking for the lads.. A win would have left them undefeated after the 1st week, given they have the bye 2morrow.... Ben Smith in form with 60 not out.. WAD only made 1..

But Ravendale is the best surface in Lincoln, even if the grass is 4 inches long.    Sorry, couldn't help myself!!!!

Matbe its not the venue Bystander the way the ground is managed and maintained is pretty ordinary why dont they cut it short and spend some time maintaining it look at poole and dorwood and wangary are these grounds all managed by others who does manage Ravendale i cant see it being a problem with the infield mowed right down and the outfield just a little longer surely this would also help with drainage i mean its even too long to bounce a footy on. The complex and grounds have heaps of potential maybe its got the wrong type of grass on it i dont know but surely if it was mowed right down it would improve???

Have heard along the grape vine that council, (persons responsible for mowing Ravendale) want cricket to be played there regularly next season and so will be laying a new pitch, a level one at that, weather it's true or not only time will tell.

Ben Smith actually 70no.

Tasmans are definitely keen for the points this week, so keen they have even offered to fly Goo home for the top of the table clash. If we tried to do that we'd be broke again!! Goo has declined though, weekend on the piss more inviting for the big fella!!

Can understand why a Charlton boy would count .02% to claim top but realistically we are all equal top when there are still 4 games to go!! Petty.......

Grub has asked me to post the following from him

"Hi Gentleman, another grub here...... just read the forum recently and I wanted to say I have nothing to do with whatever Romourmonger or Ravendale rules say..... Please dont associate any comments from these alias's to me.
Rm - I would like you to contact me regarding me winning the Mail Medal I will gladly take your each way all day bet and the minimum bet is $500.I can be contacted on 86821055.
All the best for the cricket finals and pre-season guys!"

Quite a Fisherman you are Bystander!! As you guys are going to finish top, what chance do you have of being in the As for the finals.. Does a past captain who stuck at it when you were getting flogged carry much weight with the new selectors!! Be a pity to be around this long and have to sit on the sidelines while the boys reach the Holy Grail...
