Wasn't just down, was more like 10 goals i heard!

Rumours floating about that there last 2 pre-season games were going to be used to build confidence into the side and get big wins. Backfired though and they copped a couple of beltings.

Kept Lefty on for one year too many, they need to recruit a coach from outside of the area and re-form the club

There side from the elimination final in 2016:

S Raeder - Gone
G Obst - Gone
C Ridgway - Still there (Depth player)
D Centofanti (Nothing against Dave at all, but in trouble if relying on him).
S Mumford - Gone
R Correll - New co-captain
A Beauchamp (retired)
N Hankin - Gone
M allan - Gone
J Miliburn - Staying (Gun)
B Thompson - Staying (Young kid though)
S Atkins - Staying
G Franks - Staying (past it)
P Safralidis - Staying, how much has he got left in him though?
A Grose - Staying i think... Haven't heard much re him
L Hayes - Gone
M Voight - Not playing
J Ridley - Staying
D Marner - Gone
D Lefty - Gone
B Grose - Gone

So they have lost over half their team from last their final last year when they were at full strength. Their B-Grade is hopeless, 18's have struggled for the last 3-4 years. They are in strife really!

Wow..... Berri could be in for a long season. Definitely need to look outside the area for their next coach!!!

Actually forgot about a few of the outs from the Roos, they were that long ago! They look to be a similar side to last year really. Few quality outs replaced with a few quality ins. Benson will be a handy inclusion in their backline which was pretty young and thin. Fisher is apparantley a gun, haven't heard of Drefke but any relation to the Millard's would be handy. Obviously three major losses in O'Grady, Langcake & Cornish. Hamilton may not be playing at all either i believe

BMFC list looks strong but also lost quite a few. Quality ins, just need the quality kids to keep growing. Matt Benson is a huge surprise get by the Roo's, has a bit of a family link with the Henwood family which I think played a fair part in the move from Loxton. He has also moved across to that side of the river!! Can confirm money wasn't the reason for the move.

OUT:
Richard OGrady
Kayne Cornish
Brett Ancell
Ben Drogemuller
Ben Bryant
Ryan Lancake
Brandon Wundenberg

Ins:
Matt Min
Matthew Benson
Jack Selfe
Jacob Fisher
Jaebyn Drefke (come from qld but looks to be solidly quality. Millard family)
Brad Rosenzweig
Mark Henwood

Few other ins coming through in the clearances for them but think most are B's & 18's.

Benson is the former cycling guru yeah?

Yep that's him!!! Looked solid in the trial match they played & fitness is elite.

What's the feel for Loxton this season? Few nice IN's & will improve but not quite finals ready? Raph Liddle has signed on but won't play every week with work commitments one Adelaide

Have heard the same about Hamilton not playing, also Jake Schwertfeger wont be playing at all due to study commitments another loss will be Brodie Kollman who will be playing in the Hills

Also hearing Jake Smith is giving the year a miss to spend time with his little fella!!! Matt Min is propaply the biggest in for the Roo's. Come from TTG Div 1, kicked close to 50goals swapping in the mid to f/flank. Potentially good enough to replace OGrady. Roo's also retained Luke Thomas which is handy.

Lots of outs & a few super handy ins. Still expect to Roo's to be around 2nd-3rd on the ladder.

Don't see anyone really challenging Waikeri, but I hope I'm wrong.....

You are correct! I hadn't checked the clearances for a few days and had missed that.

Also Matty Min with a clearance to the SANFL pending?

Brodie Fridd will be a handy inclusion back for the Roos

Matt Min will still play for BMFC. He has been added to the crows SANFL top up list, will only play if there is injuries for the crows sanfl team. He has decided to put his teaching career first over playing SANGL footy full time. Hence why he moved to Barmera for his teaching job!

Just reporting what i had been told! Berri are in strife either way. Their next 5-10 years are up in the air with their next coaching decision going to be very important for them

Played great footy at Tea Tree Gully last year in Div1 SAAFL, so will be a great pick up.

Ex Crow & Blue Laurence Angwin an in for Renmark??

Still be A grade? Mid 30's these days? Renmark would have to be pushing the points for recruits now? Fair few ins that are apparently A grade standard..... If the recruits are as good as what I am hearing, Rovers could give North & Roo's a real challenge for 2nd spot
