Jeff Castle used to play cricket at Lipson in the B's when i was there, couldn't imagine him on the footy field though!!! Would interfere with his drinking too much.

Great weather for our first training tonight. Our shelter has been removed to make way for the baseball field at Ravendale. I'll be looking to get some value for money for my council rates by sheltering under your new clubrooms Eppie.

mmm interesting, yes you are correct on my identity. I can only hope all the stirring up I gave everyone was taken in good faith. I had a hell of a laugh reading you guys grovelling over my identity. I tried to keep it hidden for as long as possible , as I was unsure on the reaction of an umpire on here would be. Look forward to any comments from anyone, I have defenitly got into most of you as I have discovered your identity over time, so I am expecting a bit back now, so let me have it!

Yes I was expecting this. Get into me and get it over and done with.
The name came from the movie top gun. I used to wear sunglasses like the character maverick, my dad gave me the nick name.
Got a few contacts in GF league tips, not all crap, may have stretched the truth on occasions, EU have spent a lot this year to retain players, all this talk of everyone leaving has made them fork out too much and they are financially f....ed.

no problems. I wont be revealling any sources though. I am not that type of guy.
I presume you all will take up umpiring when your footy days are over, does anyone know anyone who would be interested in the umpires director role. M Harris cant do it this year, thought rossco or btb would be good at it. You boundry umpiring again bystander?, bout time you had a go at field umpiring.

No one grovells on this rag about anyone's identidy. Some of us are simply polite enough to tell everyone else who we are BEFORE we start bagging people. Must be the orange magget in you!!!!
Just a warning too, I've heard this forum isn't all that good for the mental state of umpires. Seams as though some posts can just be too much. I believe one cricket offical in particular needed a "rest" after a few coments were made about him. Careful Mav, your next :lol:
