at a stab id say their friendly but not friends.

their relationship seems to be a means to an end and they put up with eachother because both parties get what they want.

as long as theres money and hope for success they'll agree to disagree

Is the relationship still going?

Heard a whisper, Hughes walked out on TV today! The ship is sinking.

short answer.... no. if this is true, let's see how long the TV 'faithful' players hang around for now! id say the chances of him going back to lobethal would be slim to none however...

I have watched the TV/Hughes situation without comment since it began. But I have to say at last that I've never heard anything so stupid, not in that it's happening as such, but that our league allows it to happen. We must be a laughing stock out here! Do other leagues permit this? How can this be in the best interests of country football? Owen, you maintain so ferociously that this league is credible? Ha ha! And you also claim to have a 'soft spot' for Div 2? Time will tell I suppose. If we witness the disintegration of TV (if recent posts are true) then the HFL can take the blame fair and square. And they are supposed to be our Governing Body.............What a joke!
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Here, here! I along with others have posted about this issue on many occasions and cannot fathom out what the HFL is thinking. Are Lamshed and his fellow directors being diligent in their duty by allowing this to carry on year after year or is it a matter of "hear no evil, see no evil"?
Whatever the reason, GH has made the competition a farce with buying players/premierships and the league must be held responsible for allowing that to happen
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Crumber - what the hell are you talking about. The HFL to blame if TV fall apart? More like self destruction! However they should survive, they have strong juniors and no-one on this earth is irreplaceable, even GH!

You could be getting ahead of yourselves here fellas. How probable is the split between GH & TV?

I'm sure he wouldn't be leaving to head to Loby, I believe he was interested a few years back but Loby weren't. With money comes power, and by GH buying all the players, he has all the say...doesn't sound like your typical 'club' set up to me.

From what I heard tonight, it's not true and that he's not leaving - that info came 2nd hand from a player at TV.

well with all this talk about a mass exodus 1250 do you really think Stringer can do the same thing he always does and recruit quality players for his team. I dont think he knows too many more, especially good enough to fill the void left by the players leaving. Im sorry mate but it might just look like Kangy will have to struggle in the top 5 next season.

(P.S I'm not one to talk but maybe you will get back into the A grade now mate)
