Think Souths beat Charlton so they got 4th spot. Is the Henderson Shield final played today?
Can you give me a run down on the baseball game haloman.

Coyotes far to strong over 9 innings. Stayed in the game for 3 or 4 innings but simply ran out of steam. Once Jay Shannon ran out of pitches we had nothing else to go to. Good luck to them next week. Craig Reidy was a surprise starter for coyotes, no such luck for us with Ash Gray. Rumour has it that Reidy won the toss bowled first, then elevated himself to no. 3 in the batting order and threw away his wicket to get to baseball on time. Scoob, eags this couldn't be true surely. If that is what happened I'm sure you guys must be real happy. Just for the record too, Reidy gave us 2 of our 5 runs on errors and didn't really star with the bat. His team may have won 18-5 but doubt if you can attribute the 13 run gap to his presesce. If he had stayed at the cricket they probably would have won by 20

Crows v Power should be interesting, expect the Mighty Crows to win by 40 -60 points.
Mighty, WTF, 8 years ago maybe, not since Blighty left!!!!!!!!

Mighty enough to whip your butts by a lazy 83pts last time.

Typical Crowby, always dwelling on the past, move on and look to the future.

Interesting take on things bystander. Combine yesterday's winning margin and the winning margin from the final last year and it adds up to.......................... who cares its only Port we keep belting. That's not the past bystander, and if I were you I wouldn't be looking forward to the future.

Yes, people were aware on the Saturday that Reidy if he won the toss would infact bowl first, so he could have a 'quick' hit and head off to baseball. Our president couldnt understand the Captains decision to bowl first until halfway thru the day (sunday) when notified.
Whats eveyones thoughts on the issue? Is it a big one or not? Could it have affected the result?

Definitely a big issue!! Reidy threw away the best chance of winning by giving away the opportunity to bat first for a personal reason. I'd be ropable if I was a player and Whistle was fuming when he was at the two's!!

Reidy is not a number 3 batsman, he can smash 100 easily when the ball has a little less shine but he came in on the second over, way to early!

In all seriousness he didnt throw his wicket away, i was batting with him when he came out there and i asked if he was going to smash em and he said, no im hanging around.

Still shouldn't have gone to baseball however, PL cricket association captain surely a little bit more important! However a man of all sports loves to try and do everything!

Reidy asked me what I thought. Said it didn't worry me but expect to cop some flack.. He didn't throw his wicket away so he could get to baseball on time.
Our batting collapse of 6 for 7 yesterday was almost comical... I must admit that the atmosphere of a final was lacking and the Eastern Eyre boys were up for it.. Good luck to them and well deserved.. The presentation and after match was another sad reflection on our association.. No welcome and congrats speech or anything. Just hand them the shield, get Grub to take a pic of the team, Guru Umpire Stevie presenting MOTM award and all the boys hop in their cars and home we go....

All the best to the teams in the finals.. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out...

Could never imagine Craig Riedy throwing way his wicket in a back yard game let alone a hendo final. Probably should have stayed for the presentations though since he is the captain.

Another 2 issues from Sunday's game.....

1) Only 1 umpire

2) Pitch was a disgrace ... PLCA should be utterly embarrassed that a curator with such incompetence should be allowed to prepare a wicket like that for a Henderson Shield GF.

Eags, Those two issues will have a huge bearing on who wins the flag this year....

I can see a team getting "shafted" and costing it a premiership.. Some of the decisions over the weekend were bewildering to say the least!!

The wife of a certain regular on here does not know he is a life member at Oceans. They don't know everything...thank god....also TRR had a blinder on Saturday tipping a $10 winner at Cheltenham on Saturday...hope you got the message in time tips....a big thankyou to those negative posters on here that forced him 'underground'....your loss....also heard that all was not as bleak at TigerLand as we may have thought. Had a good roll up last couple of trainings...came from a guy who did the work.....hopefully correct.

Spoke to E W last week and they were his words eppie. Not sure about any paperwork, but the lad was pretty keen to get away from footy down here. "The further away the better" were the exact words.
