Let me just say what a disgrace it is that we are not playing at Centenary yet. I looked at the pitch yesterday and if Andy 'dead boring' Page reckons we will play there this week then he is kidding himself. It is at least a month away from being playable.
Andy on the TV is like watching paint dry and when on the radio he just says 'Yeah Yeah' to everything and only ever wraps up Tynon Keeley. It is vertually Beebey doing the cricket with Andy going 'Yeah Yeah' to everything. I have rubbished Bluey in the past but at least he is not boring!
We pay good money to have a turf pitch and this is not acceptable.

As for football I think we are in trouble with our losses so far and tasmans gains so it could be us and souths fighting for the spoon.
Let acock keep blowing up the tyres, we have heard it all before and we all know what the end result is every year.

We have been assured by the PLFL that they will investigate the whole Semmler deal and prior codes of conduct. If the TFC are found to be in breach of the rules what do we think should happen to them? What is a fair penalty?
I was thinking they should be fined but then I thought some more and it would end up the tax payer paying for it anyway so I thought they should have points taken off them. (If they win any games). Any other thoughts?

Speaking of cricket , our b grade will not go out to Coffin Bay to play again. They said it was 10 degrees hotter out at coffins than in lincoln and the amount of flies was absurd. The oval is very small also.
Has anyone else played out there and got any thoughts?
Scotty McFarlane was pissed on the weekend and told me he made 100. Can anyone confirm?
I hear Woolford was given out LBW on the weekend, it must have been neutral umpires  We had him plumb first ball when they played us and his teammate wouldn't give it and later in the game they had the nerve to call us cheats.
What does the future hold for the Tasman cricket club? They made only 50 runs on the weekend against souths pop gun attack. How embarresing  . Should they fold?
Sorry if I am wafting on but will someone talk some cricket with me?

If they have broken the rules they should be held accountable? But they deserve a fair trial.
But do you honestly think Carl S is going to testify that he was approached to play for Tasmans before a letter went in? It is just one of those things that will never get proven a bit like the ravendale-tasman-council deal behind the PLFL's back.

Temperature no different to Wangary, part of playing away from home softy.....ground bigger than the Primary School!!

Your football club was more embarrasing for over 5 years, would have been a shame if they folded, rediculous comment, pull your head in

You sound like LDS, sook sook sook.....

MR took the TFC to the tribunal over the very same issue last year when Ronnie offered Carl work. Carl quit his job and all only to be told when he was to start work that he now needs to sign a clearance. Nothing had been mentioned of changing clubs until this point, whether that is naive of Carl or not is another issue. Ronnie and Bucky simply denied everything at the tribunal last year and they were cleared. Given it's happening again the PLFL should see they were played for fools last year and come down hard.

Seems the TFC is good at recruiting people by offering them a livelyhood, not getting people who actually want to be there. Carl doesn't like them, but who would refuse his deal. Scruff doesn't want to be there, but can't knock back all Keiths landscaping work. This is why they have an uncommitted side, and now it includes the coach. At least Ronnie loved the club and had passion.

This time the tribunal has to stand firm and come down hard I agree OnSong or the whole system is floored. I was always told Do the crime, do the time.

Ronnie would make a good junior coach but had limited coaching ability.

Time will tell and Carl may be asked to give evidence against his new club. Tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth ;)

To be honest mate I havnt read the rules n I'm not on the committee n didn't know about that rule so I can't really say.other places iv played at there hasn't been that rule.I would of thought if Carl isn't signed to MR with a written legal contract then he's open to talk to anyone he likes .but like I said I don't know !

It is an interesting rule livefooty and it does need clarification to eliminate any grey areas an inuendo.
I was of the understanding that if a player has within 2 years played for another PLFL club then a letter has to be sent to that club stating your intention to speak to them.
We need someone who knows the rules to comment. wcp steiger blues ?

I'm not sure about the last two years bit, BTB will definitely know, but if a player is to be approached by an opposition club a letter of request must be sent. The club then has 7 days to respond. If player is contracted they can't be spoken to until after 31 December. Club can reply that player is required, does not wish to be spoken to etc but this does not stop a club from then approaching, unless contracted. If no response given within 7 days also free to approach.

This gives the club a period to speak to the player and try to retain, the club that has done the hard work to get a recruit to town gets the first crack at talking to them. ie It is only because of MR that Tasmans even know who Carl is

I would have thought the 2 years is excessive, someone like Haydn Parker who played for Wirulla should not require a club to contact MR to speak with him. That seems really silly but being PL it is probably the case because common sense and our league don't go hand in hand!!

I would be very surprised if Carl isn't contracted with MR until 31 December and I reckon the TFC know this and are more than prepared to pay any fines to get him, be it early or not.

you make it sound like tassies are the only one that offer jobs as a draw card to come to the club,i could name all the clubs n people who offer jobs to players to come to there club. its the way lincoln footy works.A mate of mine in adelaide got offered 500 a game plus a sign on fee n theres others that are getting offered more than that !now theres no club in lincoln that could do that so offering a job is the next best thing.so dont make it sound like were the only club that does it cause its crap n its not a bad thing anyway.it makes our mortlock side stronger!
cima n vonow back next year to !! maybe you lads should give them a call n c how loyal the roosters really are n good luck trying to get any of the roosters the A graders are tight as tight, poach away !!
