Yes of course!

Todd would have to be one of the best. Five flags straight in the GSFL.

I think you mean champ.

How many times have you seen him play Micky? Twice?

You're the chump Micky.

Todd Steele is in the top 5. I've now played 8 seasons of A grade footy and would rate him as my toughest opponent. When will he retire?

Steele will be 30 next season, struggled with injury and illness this year and had baby number three during the week. I'd say he's got about 8 seasons left in him.

Now I understand that everybody has a different view on the game, but I would be interested in your thoughts of what is more valuable, a good bigman, or a gun on-baller because it seems umpires love the on-ballers.

Standout bigmen over the last decade (Strong bias to the last 6 years):

David Hams
Jim West
Matt James
Nathan Duffield
Eamon Bull

Steele??

Matt Thomas?
Dane Rolfe?
Simon Dennis?
Bluey McLean?

Braidwood and Mills not even close to the other names mentioned.

I remember the day Millsy picked the ball up on the back flank in an association game, instead of sending the ball forward he turned left instead of right, launched a 60 metre drop punt to lace out the opposition full forward standing all alone on the goal line. CLassic play!

LF Eric Martin is without doubt the most overrated player ever to play in the GSFL,for someone to act so tuff with so little impact made me laugh every time i seen him play.Let the opposition kick it to Eric and you should win the game, why try to be so tuff and wear a long sleeve gurnsey.......well no muscles i suppose.

I think Erik Martin in his early days at EB played some fairly decent footy and was one of the best forwards in the league. Went to Meningie and played some good footy there as well in arguably a weaker league, but i'd say he didn't do as well at the Saints and VH.

Your spot on about Mclean Micky! I did however play with Eric at the Saints and witnessed him kick 9 once along with some other big bags. Was only a bit of a joke to say he was the best of the decade but he could play! Anyway keep an eye out for he on Saturday afternoons on ABC 2. He is up playing in Darwin I beleive and the games are been telecast down here!

Ben Baxter is simply awsome ball winner! Other teams would do well to have such a nugget at the bottom of pack and in the bar!!!!! Although i feel he and porkchop need to start depositing some of their pay cheques into M Thomas's account. He makes them look good week in week out by putting it down their throat.

Also on outstanding bigmen in the GSFL if you were to look in the reserves i think you'll fing T Gilbert had almost as an outstanding year as M Thomas, however he just wouldnt train!!! Apparently thomas would have never been recruited to Willunga in the first place had Gilbert never had his overseas stint with the Nashville Kangeroos making the ALL AMERICAN AFL team!!!

Cut down in his prime
