How are clubs suppose to put time and money trying to promote and build juniors if there aren't any?
Kids are too interested in playing ps3, smoking weed and fingering girls which means footy or sport in general gets put on the back burner.
I know that we promote juniors to play senior footy wherever possible but the talent pool is so shallow that some of the junior coming through just aren't up to senior standard.

You mean. Promote your juniors so you can fit all your imports under the points allocation and then sit them on the bench for 3 and a half quarters?

I've only been there for 2 seasons so can't comment on what use to happened , but we have always played 3-4 juniors most games even when they didn't need to play. And that was to expose them to senior footy.
They also spent plenty of time on the field and not 3 and a half quarters on the bench.
But what you said reads a lot better, so I'm happy to roll with that

Ash would be on serious dollars, will only be around for half a season also because he wants to travel the world. Went to the highest bidder to pay his trip. Can't imagine he would train to much but will get a kick here and there. With all these Hughes gun imports at hamley this year, I think Thach could be rotating forward pocket to bench with one of these kids they need to drop points......... Hamley for the Flag

I think the day starts at 12 or 12.30. Start with the 17's then B's and A's with the 14's starting around 6.30 or 7. Minis to play at 1/2 time of A Grade. Netball will probably start at the same time and work through the grades.
Personally I can't wait for it, gonna be an awesome day!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Not sure if it has been finalised yet, but I think the day kicks off with the senior colts at midday. then Reserves; then 3.30pm - ANZAC Ceremony; 3.40pm - A Grade (Half Time Minis 2 x 7min halves; 6.00pm - Junior Colts (twilight). A1 netball match kicks off at the conclusion of the A grade approx 6pm.

united very under manned but freo also had some key players out.

reckon Longies have a few one year wonders in the mix a couple of blokes getting feisty in a trial which isn't ideal for both teams.

Freeling missing ruckman, three midfielders, key backman. So may be a long year for the boys at the water tower.

Contracted to whom OS? The Power reserves team? I assume you're not referring to the Power's list - are you? How does this work if he doesn't get picked on a weekend - back to Mallala?

With the season getting underway this weekend, I expect we will be seeing a season preview in the Producer Wednesday OS?

He will get picked on a weekend, either with the Power Reserves (Magpies) or the Port Magpies reserves.
