I don't believe our club made it public knowledge within our club that this survey was being undertaken. I would assume most clubs would be the same.
If this is the case then the survey may be skewed with only clubs officials filling it out. Most clubs demographics of officials is older ex players.

So in order to make it a survey that reaches across the board of the HFL community and gives everyone within the HFL a voice - FILL THE SURVEY OUT AND INFORM OTHERS THAT THEY CAN TOO.

Pleased to say that my local club advertised the survey last week asking us to have a say. Facebook, Twitter, the website all advertising it.

Should be a good test for Lobey at Echunga on Saturday.

It will be a good reflection of where both sides sit in the scheme of things.

I hope everyone is right in saying Lobey don't play well in the wet.

Echunga is still in pretty good condition at this stage though - albeit probably deteriorating after the colts and B grade games.

Round 16 looms as the relegation decider with Echunga playing TV at Mt Torrens velodrome.

If both club's A'Grade win no more or less than they did in the first round I'd imagine it's already pretty much decided?

Yes Jarman did play in the second half, sat in a forward pocket. Ironbank lack forwards and they had 2 or 3 of their midfield / forwards away / out . He did not take a young kids place as no one deserved to be promoted based on performance. Blackwood won the game in a 10 minute 5 goal to nil period in the 3rd quarter. Reality is the bankers are not good enough with what they have at the moment to probably make the finals. The ground work is being done in all grades to make sure the club improves as it has overall across the board so far this year. Think you will see the fruits of what Jarman is doing next season. People should not criticise the man without knowing the person or the facts. You will not meet a finer football brain or promoter of the game than Andrew...... Give the guy a break. He has achieved more in the game than all of you combined.

...or young Tom Smith (18 y.o) who is a rover/fwd pocket and who has got in the B Grade best players in 5 of the 8 B-grade games he's played. How much performance do you need to choose an 18 y.o. over an unfit 48 y.o. ?

The ladder is certainly tightening up between 3rd and 7th with any of these sides able to gain a spot in the 5.

Great match at Echunga on the weekend with Lobey really fighting back and nearly pinching a win.

Echunga were without Carey, Wilson and Newenham which made it a pretty good effort to beat the side above them.

It was a 10+ goal turnaround which wouldn't have been expected by most involved.

The match standard was actually very good with quick movement by both teams and some great goals scored.

Lots of ball ups though as both teams were desperate to get first use - but once they did it was a good flow game.

Jarman probably doesn't know who those 2 players are. :)

Legs Man from all reports the A Grade game was a good result for your club but the rest of the day was an embarrassment. Looking back over your previous posts you have had a crack at the HFL, Blackwood, Bridgewater about their facilities and even a dig at Ironbank yet on Saturday your club ran out of food before the start of the A Grade!!!

You have boasted all year how good your club and facilities are and bagged other clubs yet on Sat you had 50 hungry and freezing cold players and coaching staff from both clubs unable to get lunch. Even heard spectators had to go down the local shop to get food as the wait for hot chips was 20 mins at best.

Wow - didn't know we ran out of food - that is not on and I hope a one off occurrence. (always been proud of our food offerings)

Thankfully the beverages were still flowing!

When I arrived the BBQ was still going and people were still at the canteen.(approx 12:30)

Were the showers hot?

The oval held up well also after all the rain.

BTW - never bagged Blackwood's facilities - and was surprised at the improvement Ironbank has made.

Totally stand by the lack of facilities at Bridgey and the lack of direction by the HFL and their handling of the promotion / relegation etc.

Unfortunately we just got beaten in the Senior Colts - having beaten Lobey last time. (well matched sides it seems)

Surely you guys are having a lend - Jars couldn't have played at his age. (even being the great footballer he was)

And if he did the B's players in line would be surely disappointed.

When Echunga played them 2 weeks ago they had a few players in the B's who played quite well - even though we were terrible.

Perhaps there are lots of injuries?

Sorry to say Legs Man our canteen has run out of food on more than one occasion this year.

I was surprised how good the oval was though.

Echung have now ( I believe ) beaten all bar Mount Barker and Uraidla this year.
