FYI last year Carter, Perryman and Fox were not paid at all because they returned the faith paid to them by the club. Hope they do recruit well and have a couple of wins against the club you used to play for before you left because you couldnt make there BS

Tanka I hope you were pissed at 10pm on Boxing Day cos this Post is a joke! Steve Pollock was on a loan deal between Gumeracha and Kersbrook and will leave the Brookers after 8 games and a premiership medal. He is the Aaron Keating of Kersbrook and hope Pollock does well at the Gullies.

Cougar does this Tanka bloke coach Torrens Valley Under 10s

No he doens't. Might find he coached a bit higher than U/10s and at a different club. Not necessarily in Hills Country Div either ;)

Pete Smith to TV would be a big pick up. However will cost them a few points being a long term Div 1 'A' grade Amateur player. Has been arguably Gepps X's best player over the past decade.

Tony Antrobous lad (also from Gepps) would be only be a handy Hills Country pick up, as played most of his footy primarily in their B's.

Any More news on all Clubs.... for 2009

Meadows - I have heard they are chasing around for a new Full Forward Will be likely to Improve one would have thought, with a lot less injuries. (most likely to replace nairne in the top 5)
Torrens Valley - Alway have the best new winter outfits. (top 3)
Kersbrook - Are they going to be pretty much the same this year? (top 3)
Gums- Questionable? (A fight for bottom)
Echunga- Have heard 3 of their new recurits have already been training will be top 5 again but not top 3. (top 5)
Maccy- A lot of talk but will they back it up - i think they will improve.
Callington - Same as gums. (A fight for bottom)
Kangarilla - Exactly who have they lost and gained will tell where they lye. (Top 5)
Nairne - No Murphy...hmm thats a huge loss for them. But quality juniors coming through.

Gums will definately not finish bottom if all the rumours and recruits off here have signed...
will be up there.

Don't write Nairne off but if TV have picked up Mark Clayton, Pete Smith, Slattery's brother and maybe Jacques brother then no-one in Div 2 will get near them, not even Kersbrook with all their guns!

I have heard the only confirmed departures at Kangarilla at this are the Jackson brothers and Guitnick. Rumours of Kangy losing up to 20 players are highly over exagerrated. There is still time for this to change of course but surely clubs will be getting close to finalizing their lists and finances for key players, so many players at Kangy may just stay where they are yet again.

Not sure if all those names are going there MC. Seems someone has confirmed Smith is heading to Loxton on the Riverland thread, and Slattery's brother will just play Bs according to his brother. Few of the Kersy lads saw Luke on the turps recently, and were told his brother will just come out for a casual kick. Still reckon if he had half the talent of Luke he'd be very handy! No one could confirm in January who'll be favourites for the flag until TV submit their first team sheet, which could have anyone on it.

Who is he and where does he come from? Where does he play and why will he be a 'gun'?
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

I can confirm with authority that his brother does not have anywhere near the same ability as Luke.
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Some of these player do like to have a good time MM! But beleive me there still players that HAVE signed who are a little "twitcy" aswell However IMO as long as it doesnt effect the way they play on a sat WHO GIVES A SHIT!
MM you must be part of Kangarilla knowing about this Policy ,you would also know that many outs in one year will hurt, it certanly wont kill but it will hurt, after all clubs survive and are stonger with numbers regardless of what their players do in their past time.
I can bet there are players doing the same thing at every club and every level (Shaw-Cousins) so its time to wake and smell the coffee before they lose more. Remember it is only Hfl football not the afl all of these players played for fun and for free, happy to play with mates and of coarse to win! Bring back the fun at Kangarilla! thats when they were most successful!

Question; who would they be MM are you willing to name names? i know who you are refering to But are you sure its the D & O policy and nothing to do with any other factors? following Coach /mates /family, Work, money, conflicts with previous coach pehaps, Change of scenery, chasing skirt all factors which they could be leaving for.

MM IMO You basically have put a stigma on all that entire list with out naming who it is you are refering to.

IMO that is a little unfair to the players that dont do anything that you are rumouring dont you think! you are leaving all names to be speculated about i for one think NOT COOL MATE!

Let's be honest most clubs around would have these same problems but you will never beable to clean it up. you will always have your handfull of blokes that will not change. I wouldn't want my kids at a club like that either but you will struggle to find a club without these issues.

Surely you have to agree though oncewasaplaya that its not a good look at club functions where juniors are present when people are under the influence of drugs? I agree that if it doesnt effect your performance on a saturday then it shouldnt matter but not when it has an adverse effect on how you act around the club. Do what you want to do, but does it really need to be done at the club?

I know its not limited to Kangarilla, Im sure it happens at every club but I think its a good thing that Kangy are taking a stand, now more than ever, they will have to do their best to retain all their juniors, this is a good step towards doing this.

You are right but how is this any different from Alcohol?
from what i saw guys that take this stuff only ever seemed to be happy and want to dance (alot) and they didnt cause trouble on the other hand
They never want to get rid of the piss heads who want to fight or cause damaged to them self or the club, these guys may get thrown out for a night but come next week they are there doing the same thing always welcome as long as the club is making money from it IMO
so as long as they are not pushing it on your kids or taking the drugs inside the club or where they could get dropped for a infant to mistake as a lollie let them do it they are only doing damage to themselves and who the hell are we to judge them for it? Unfortunatly it will never stop it unless all clubs become dry zones and i dont see that happening other wise clubs wont be able to survive. so control it we must but not to the detrement of you club!

Here is the next mission for Kangarilla, coming from a country club in another league where we had successful juniors and the seniors were shite after the juniors finished senior colts they either went to a different club or stopped playing because no wants to be on a losing side not saying Kangy will be shite but after losing so many players but it will effect the depth of the club (success comes from depth) i really hope they have on field success that will be the only way to keep kids, or they can offer them something that no one else can so they want to stay (which most clubs can not offer or deliver)

ONE RUMOUR to go only heard this one today Jamien Stringer (Coaches son)doesnt want to play footy this year can anyone current at Kangarilla get the goss on this Not Confirmed but had to post it but il will ring him just after posting!

iv gota say that guy has a great point, all well and good to name the players that are leaving, but to say that, that is the reason a few of them are leaving is pretty bad. especially when alot of them wouldnt have done anythink wrong!

Well I for one have certainly seen people flip out on drugs and try to start on people, not saying that doesn't happen with alcohol aswell, but to say people who take drugs only get happy and want to dance is crap.
