There is grass on the Oval! However still needs a bit of work, and I'm not sure the 3 months till the start of the season will give it enough time to be right by Round 1. The Guys in charge have done a great job and are hopeful it will be right by then.

Can anyone let me know what date round 1 is

I think it is the 4th of April the week before easter.

Yes, Round 1 is definitely April 4, followed by a break over Easter with round two on April 18. I'm pretty sure that Maccy have the bye in round 1.

Central Division starts on the same date (April 4)

Here is the next mission for Kangarilla, coming from a country club in another league where we had successful juniors and the seniors were shite after the juniors finished senior colts they either went to a different club or stopped playing because no wants to be on a losing side not saying Kangy will be shite but after losing so many players but it will effect the depth of the club (success comes from depth) i really hope they have on field success that will be the only way to keep kids, or they can offer them something that no one else can so they want to stay (which most clubs can not offer or deliver)

ONE RUMOUR to go only heard this one today Jamien Stringer (Coaches son)doesnt want to play footy this year can anyone current at Kangarilla get the goss on this Not Confirmed but had to post it but il will ring him just after posting![/quote]

any news on this rumour playa...is the other stringer brother playing this year?

No info as yet on jamien, still havent had a chance to find out!
think it would be just that (a rumour)

Still think that you would know MM you seem to bite at every word i have said about Kangarilla, from bagging leaving players to revealing that they have some in house issues (you know what i mean )
No Jamien Stringers brother will not be playing (but you know that) because it is his cousin, Dylan.
Dylans brothers Todd and Matt may go to Kangarilla from Meadows if Allan gets the job of reserves coach (Just a rumour)all good lads/players and will be good if Kangy can get them, The entire Stringer family love there footy probably the first time they all would have played senoir footy under their Dad / uncle and all together.

Looks the same as last year in January, but this time on the improve and not decline. If you saw it in December it looked like a beach after all the work it had done to it so has got better somewhat. If the draw posted on here is correct, Kersbrook's first game is another 3 months away and will be close to being ready by then. As the same as last season, Kersbrook training Monday/Wednesday's on Houghton Oval starting from tonight.

BOTH...

Have heard Slattery is at Torrens Valley. Did he play there last year and how did he go? The bloke can play, played with him at North Adelaide. He was pretty raw then but had massive talent.
