grub, how on earth did maund still blow over on thurs if he was smashed on tues night - he must have also had a dose on wed night as well, talk about stupid...i hear he was trying his hardest to pick up some of the local racing chicks - is this true

not saying anything about devlino at this stage - will comment after race, i'm going over to watch race with annette...to have a local horse competing is good for advert for lincoln racing I reckon (if it does well probably not a good advert for magic millions tho!) anyone know anything about cozys runner?

Pretty good judge Scoob, I found this on the old Footysa forum that is now back up and running

14-Oct-05, 10:44 AM Scooby

Yes, I think we are in deep shite!! We have now lost 5 players from last years premiership side. Got some good kids but expect a bit of pain this year. Dead right Jacko's innings was one of the better ones Ive seen. If Grub will give $3.00 on a SES v Tas GF, I think that would be a good bet.

Mind you, the GM also predicted this result so probably doesn't hold a lot of weight!!

You shot me down there WCP.. Not a hard one to pick if you went on talent.. With us and Toddies only competitive some weeks, Souths with not a lot of depth and Charlton over-achieving it only leaves two sides..

Mind you we could have put Grub to the sword if we managed to get odds on you taking 20plus A Grade wickets...

Look forward to watching the GF this week.. I reckon you boys are a big chance, you've got nothing to lose given everyone thinks Tassies should win in a canter.... Need 150 and then apply the pressure.. Set a ring field and make the Tassie bats attack. They hate getting tied down and the pressure they are under to win is enormous..

Howdy to Snozza when he reads this tonite...

And here i was a few weeks ago copping sh*t for not thinking before my posts. On a day i'm sure the batting line up would rather forget, the 2 you've mentioned made the 2 highest scores in our team, (8 & 11) respectively, plus Yancic took 3 catches, & you reckon they shouldn't have played?? :?
The "fighting on the hill" as you call it, was merely 2 people who are passionate about their club & their sport having a difference of opinion, of which we are all over it now, case closed, move on.

The disagreement involved one Charlton B grader and an interested bystander (me) All there was to it was a charlton B grader full of grog whinging about not playing on the day, all day. After finally having enough I told him to shut up and barrack for his team instead of bagging it. THATS IT. He said something back, it got a bit heated, big deal. RR whats the matter mate don't understand people being upset at not getting selected. Sorry forgot, you probably don't understand this selection thing do you. It means when you have more than enough players some have to miss out. I supose you wouldn't have that problem at Tassies hey. More worried about simply finding enough to fill the B's I reckon. Lucky your colts are coming through in droves isn't it. Oops wrong again. By the way those Moth Balls you ordered are in, would you like to pick them up or should we just bring them to the A grade on Sat. Doubt you'll turn up to the B's

All the mothballs were sold for Febuary to Strudy. We usually get ours in the March order.

Tassies do have selection issues, one player has to miss out!! Don't envy the job you've got there Snozz, I know after doing our B's it's not a good feeling, especially when Dunny is doing snakey's out of Wangary afterwards!! Lunch will come back in for young Jacob Watson who has hopefully learnt a bit this year with some senior exposure.

Heard we're in for a nice photo in Thursdays rag of Snozz & Eags with the shield.....

By the way one of the Charlton boys left a book at the game on Saturday. It's got a few phone numbers and names of players (think it might be a training diary or something). If any of you boys are looking for it just let me know and I'll drop it off.

Stay away from the meeting at Morphetville today, track is a disgrace. The inside running is chopped up due to too much water. Poor effort from the SAJC on their biggest day. Crimson Reign is the best horse in the R Sangster Stakes and is the only bet for the day worth an each-way punt with Beadman aboard.
Devlino has drawn perfectly to be in the wrong part of the track $34 quoted in the press this morning is gross unders and if anyone wants $251, min $10 bet win only they can ring me at work.
Sunny Diva looks a monty in the 2yo sunday, should be a track gallop! Owners were looking at putting j Maund aboard, I rang him and he will be coming to PL on Sat night and asked what time Oceans is open till!!
Always a tough time for selection who are the last few candidates at Tasmans...??? Whos it between? Will Mahoney play?
I think J Watson took his frustration out on Sat night... WTF was he on??? Young Harder 6 wickets and 26 beers... good to see him carry the form on into the wee hours!!!

grub the best bet of the day is umaquest, forget last run on bog track...crimson reign will be too short

getting back to the maund controversy why wasn't mcintosh given the ride..i thought the rule was you have to replace a senior rider with a senior rider, not an apprentice?? bet macca was spewin!!
