sansbury is a great player and bloke, however, i know callington had a few problems with that group of players they recruited with commitment and etc($$$)....they always wanted more then what they're getting - pretty sure callington would have been paying them a nice little package as well....

on another note - jenner returning back to his old club Gawler Centrals - its good to see players go else where but end up at their grass root clubs. goodluck to him, he's the kind of player that can win a game for a team!

I dont know if has been mentioned, but apparently Gums have picked up Quentin Graham the former Central District premiership player. Will be a very handy pick up.

Yeh it has. Played in the apfl last year and didnt stand out as most wouldve expected.

Played at CHF when many thought he should have played in defence.

yeh i admit that CHF is hardest position on the ground.
and you would think that if you had a recruit of his "calibre" thats where you would want him to earn his biccie$$$!
however i was under the belief that he played a number of games at CHB
+ missed games due to injury?

BUT then the way that everyone talks about the GUMS on here, i would expect him to star in their side.
either at CHF, CENTRE or CHB!!
he can only be as good as his team though - maybe that was the case last year also?

Seems a few ppl on here don't want gums to improve. Wouldn't the likes of maccy and gum improving make for a better comp?

ohh dont get me wrong any team improving is a good thing but a stupid comment with nothing to back it up is pointless and puts unreasonable pressure on the people trying to improve that club.

all blokes are early to mid 20's, quality lads to have around the club, i think ludwig would have been behind getting these guys there - they're all good mates.

ryan can play either forward or back as a crumber typr player - when fit will be handy running forward for them.
wingrove is a wingman/onballer that will do his job all day long
keen i dont know too much about? anyone else?

either way, the guys will do well for kangy on and off the field - their background in the gsfl is only b's but they're pretty quality b's and were probably more fringe a graders at a club that finished 2nd in the gsfl last year

dont get me wrong, these guys from strath are quality players - they're not going to win a game off their boot but they're the kinda players someone that can turn a game around needs around them to get the hard balls and do the one percenters....they're also young so will suit kangarilla's quick movement of the ball - they'll be a good team to watch this season!

After all the pre-christmas hype, how are Maccy shaping up under their new super coach? Are they a realistic finals contender?
