Don't think the GM will be tipping SES to win the Challenge Cup again though!! We are an absolute shambles early......

How does it feel WCP as being listed as a key player before stiffy? What a magnificent year you've had this just tops it off now

That's a big compliment tips, I'm a little bemused at being labelled the 10 or 11 batsmen though!! I'm a solid 9 before Stiffy & Skinny

Have it on good authority that T.Dodd hasn't been selected for the GF and is an unhappy camper!! He is a very handy cricketer who can bat, bowl & field but I suppose someone has to miss out with the quality they have...

Panther, You would be No.5 in our batting lineup..

under-rate SESs bowling attack at your own peril, McGown and WCP get the ball to skid on and are the perfect turf bowlers. If Stiffy can be on song and Skin has a good day thay can mix it with the Tasmans batting line-up. Spin could be the key here, young harder got a lot of bounce out of that wicket, dont be afraid to bring yourselves on early you skippers... take the punt... I reckon it will be worth it!
Would look at Stiffy coming in at No 9, have seen wcp in action the last half of the season and his confidence is shot! Stiffy will play a few shots and is capable of scoring a quick and possibly valuable 20. Whereas 20 seems a long way off for wcp to get to the way he has been scratching around of late!
Tasmans late order batting is unpredictable.

Tonkins committment has to be questioined I presume that is what you are leading to AG, only plays when it's Westerly (no good for Surfing) then strolls into the side for finals putting out a hard worker like Doddy who has been a rooster all his life and would cherish this moment wheras Tonks will just get smashed after and go surfing the next day!. Tonks does this with all his sports, you'd think he has no legs the way he gets carried!!!!!
In all honesty footy wise we are struggling for numbers, unfortunatly we may not be able to field a Bgrade side this year. Will know more after tonite when we have a player/club meeting and post tommorow.

Always knew we won those flags it was just all the bullshit artists around, now to put the rumour straight scoob nothing has been decided yet re selection. You are going an heresay and have no idea. rumourmongrel your lack of cricket knowledge has seen you at Charlton and Bostons, enough said! Tonkin will play and deserves his spot, work commitments have been his main problem not surfing! Anyone who is unfortunate to miss out will hold their head high and enjoy the festivities of being the best team in the competition.

Whatever you reckon RR. Got the info from one of his best mates so we will see how it all pans out..So you being the expert then, will Dodd play in your humble opinion??? It would be hard to be enthused about the festivities if you have played all year and for most of your life for this club then get dropped for the biggest game the club has had for 50 years..

Tasmans have a far superior side and will win hands down. If you look at the match ups like football.
9 out of the 11 match-ups favour Tasmans and I expect a convincing win as obviosly do most people. The reserves match will see Waybacks win. Colts will be Charlton under Andy Page.
Probably more footy talk next week when cricket has finished, but does anyone have an update on how teams are going at this stage of the year. At Lincoln South we seem to be going along stedilly without setting the world on fire lot of youngsters that look good but one thing I have noticed is a low number of senior players.

biggest game for 50 years... what about 1990?? Oh how quick we forget!!! I said after that day that we will never win one again! I can still see the look on Your, Higgo's, Wally and Okkers face at the presentations in front of the grandstand!! 93 wasn't much better, but finally our time is here! 2 days to go!

Just got the racing fields sheet given to me - my tips are as follows
Sunny Diva, Al Spark, Bonza Fire
Kendite, Lex Luthor, Casino Glitz
Galway Lass, Sandview, Zerpremo
Rough Sea, Vic'sacon, Bold Honour
Fullarton Road, Emu Walk, Boy John
Startle Me, Wanderibby, Deshann
Above All, Guernica, Lincoln Sea
Alyffia *, Lady Salsa, Perugino Chief.
Our gun jockey that we follow only has 2 rides that are a chance, should win on sunny diva and a place prospect on Wedding Gift and other two are no chance, why isn't he getting better rides? Can claim 3 kg still can't he ? and just as good as the cowboys they send over from Adelaide. I follow that Hoobin guy a bit also I reckon he goes Okay.
All the best to all teams on Saturday and Sunday and Monday!

Scoob reckon you might have made the right decision leaving Tassies when you did. If this clown can still remember that from 1990 then maybe the past is on his mind. Funny how history has a habit of repeating itself. RR have you got any idea how much presure you put on your own guys when you make ridiculous statements like you have been? Your A's have the most talent sure, But not by alot. You are the faviorates, just be happy with that. I've got about 6 quotes on here I'm looking forward to jamming down your throat IF you lose. Shame that your boys have to put up with you as a Pres. Most are top fellas and great cricketers and sure don't need the likes of you putting more presure on them, especially this week.

as pres I have served the club honourably, haloman. No pressure on us either all the pressure is on SES, they havent got as much talent as admitted by you, they have to lift to our standard. If we have an average day we will win but I am fully aware of the upsets that have happened in the past and quite possibly could happen again. But I am always confident of the guys ability. Stick to baseball!!
Not putting any pressure on the guys, they have been ordered by our captain not to look at this site this week and I am sure they will have a laugh on Mad Monday when they do read it!

Grand Finals arn't won on talent alone RR. SES boys have been there before and know how to win. You might be writing them off, but I'd doubt your A graders are. What's all this crap about fists down throats? No need for that sort of stuff RR. Word has it eairly in the season Charlton were a little ungracious in victory. I would definatly say you have serpassed them easily. As for stick to baseball, at Waybacks I reckon I played in more cricket grand finals in 3 years than you have your whole life. (Albeit colts) Don't reply to this, just take it in, understand that there are people now taking more about Tassies penut Pres than your A grade side who DESERVE to be talked about.
