They got hammered last Saturday in a trial at Orroroo but they only took 22 players, no Ryan Morris and no Matt Woolford. Seemed to lack good ruckmen and their defence was a shambles. Apart from that they looked a million dollars

Looked or cost a million dollars ;)

They lost again yesterday to bottom team over there I heard! Resting the pretty boys again?

We lost too but was a good game. Everyone had a good run. Hayden kicked about 10 but they were good.

Name these pretty boys. Some of the boys went to the port Adelaide game instead of playing.

I thought Centrals won. Doesnt matter a whole lot anyway but it is disappointing when players put themselves above their teammates and opt out of these games - if that is actually the case.
South have a trial game this weekend?

I'm gonna slip over to Jamestown and take a peek at this match on Saturday. I suspect Butchy Smith might be building a half decent team there.

Saw the port Augusta local paper " the transcontinental " sgl season preview today pretty piss poor I think they are getting worse each year perhaps they need to take a leaf out of the " northern argus " when it comes to Their sports section . Interesting that west have apparently got no new recruits as of yet according to " the trans" yet they have over 30 clearances on the sporting pulse clearance page.

Won't comment on the quality of the preview but I mentioned your quote of "over 30 clearances" to a mate as I found this hard to believe. We then looked it up and found you were not too far off at all bpp! Decided to compare all teams based only on those approved in or out. (Didn't count those coming into Ports from the Pirie Junior Comp either).

West - 28 In (9 Out)
Centrals - 19 (6)
South - 7 (20)
Port - 12 (23)
Lions - 2 (1)
Sollies - 10 (13)

With little to go on....
Sollies to beat Lions by 10 goals +.
Port are still an unknown with a number of ins and outs. South are a good outfit and I think they will win by 15pts.
Centrals possibly stronger on paper but West seem to have been committed preseason and could run over them. 5 goals.

Went and had a look at lions v Sollies, Sollies were very impressive the scoreboard doesn't reflect how dominant they were there run was super. Ryan Hoare was super doesn't waste a possession it could have been a lot worse for lions Sollies should have done them by 20 or 30 goals.

i know it's because of the redevelopment of central oval in pt augusta, but i's great to see games being played at chinnery and especially at ETSA. Be great to watch the bloods play at ETSA. Baffled why they don't use the individual clubs ovals.

It will be interesting to see what penalty is imposed this afternoon upon the man who has admitted assaulting an Umpire in the SGL Grand Final last year.
I understand the Umpire intends attending the hearing to read a Victim Impact statement
