Read the by laws mate, you can apply for a permit but there's no way in hell a bloke with 10 x A grade games and 7 x B grade games should ever be granted one. Opens the door now for mass stacking of sides in finals. Corruption at its finest from two board members in particular. It's no coincidence which club one of these board members is attached to. If Onkas had any moral compass they'd do the right thing and not play the fella, there will be massive fallout from this.

We will just have to wait and see how much damage J.Q does to the Ironbank lads tomorrow, wont we?

0 times in the best in the A's & only once in the best in the B's so hardly a star player. But I agree rules are rules & it shouldn't have been applied for or granted.
Am wondering if you'd be willing to put your hand up at a meeting & call them corrupt rather than just anonymously on here.

I'd attend that meeting and deliver that message. I already know someone who has called them corrupt and given them some home truths as recent as yesterday and he's not scared of these arrogant bullies. I'm glad you agree on the matter of the dodgy permit.

Is it true the HFL President Craig Stratfold has resigned as a result of these corrupt board members?

Went to see the Torrens Valley v Blackwood game. I thought Blackwood were going to run all over them but the last half Torrens Valley turned around and probably should have won. They kicked 1.6 in last qtr , wasted opportunities and Blackwood got up by a goal in the end. Game never got to lofty heights. Both teams will need to lift up a gear to win their games next week.

The whole story seems to be on the Ironbank Facebook page. This is absolutely disgusting, seriously!!! When are the old fashioned board members going to turn over so this league can be run in a fair manner to all! These would have been the same board members that would have pushed for Onkas to sign a player after June 30 and also the same board member who gave them extra points at the start of the year and also the same board member who abused a volunteer Goal umpire whilst the game was being played with his Directors top on.
Seriously the league is becoming even more of a joke than it already was now this permit stuff has become public. Feel real sorry for Craig for trying to do the right thing and you would have thought the president would have had the final say in the matter!

On another note, good hard game of footy today at Pine Avenue. Blackwood controlling the 1st half and TV really should have nailed them with their second half display. Ben Hanna was fantastic for the Lions and really tried to will his side over the line in the last quarter, was just a pity there was less than a handful doing the same.
Toss of the coin between Uri and Barker tomorrow. I'm going Uri purely because the loss of Hughes is massive

Surely a vote of no confidence needs to go in on these two board members. Their behaviour is disgusting, unethical and they both lack integrity.

As a first-time spectator at an HFL game, I thought it was a great introduction to the league, and what it has to offer.

First of all, Hahndorf's oval is a great venue, with plenty of decent vantage points for spectators and shutterbugs alike.

The standard of footy is great, and there's plenty of talent out there.

The ammos could sure look to your league (and a couple of others) to learn how to run an event, not just a game of footy.

Must admit, not a good look for us or the HFL.

The stuff mentioned above isn't new as it's been going on for years.

The HFL AGM held every December is a key night for club representatives to vote in Directors to represent the league and administer it's constitution and by- laws. Based on the fact these old faces and even a new one last year (who is a peanut), get voted in highlight that club reps may need to do more diligence before raising their voting hand.

Hope it's not true about Craig resigning as he is a good people person. He just needs a couple strong right hand persons on the Board with him to keep the bastards honest.

Agree with your statement there 'The Cloak'. And having read the article on Ironbank's fb page I'd say they aren't casting blame towards the Onkaparinga Valley FC 'cracka'. Although it is a little strange they'd even apply for the permit in the first place I suspect most of Ironbank's frustrations is 100% directed at the two board members.

Presumably there is more than 3 people on the board and if thats the case there must be more than the 2 accused that have granted this permit?

3 board members adjudicate the permits as I understand. Fechner, McNabb and Owen. My guess is Owen doesn't have much impact with those two.

Unfortunately Owen would be their puppet. And it's no coincidence or secret McNabb is strongly aligned to Onkas, I think he even has a relative on the committee.

How many reports will come out of the senior colts game today between Mount Barker and onkas, disappointing end to what was a good close game.

I just clicked on the HFL page and was shown a message informing us that this weeks game will now be held at Echunga not Balhannah. Given Ironbank are hosting the event im guessing this has something to do with what happened on the weekend.
Also interesting that the game has been given to Echunga as they have the preliminary final the next week thought a club like Uraidla might have got a final as they have held a few in the past. Nothing wrong with Echunga though as it is a nice oval and does seem to hold up quite well so it should be able to cope with back to back finals.
