Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

htm...think you will find Seaman will more than likely line up at CHB alongside Kyran.
also loved the TR comment....very true

OL...very harsh on Streaky Bay RC....hard working committee and a great days racing. have taken a lot of horses up there in the past and apart from the up and down nature and lack of running rail turning from home I think its a pretty reasonable surface. Nowhere near as bad as Tumby was...credit to all trainers and owners who take horses there...thats what country racing is about...No horses racing in Lincoln at this time of the year are 'too good' for Streaky Bay...cup winner included.

btb, fair point...don't get me wrong i'm not knocking country racing, my point is more from an owners perspective whereby the cost of racing horses has increased dramantically but prizemoney has not...to be racing horses with any ability on a dirt track (OK streaky may be better than others) for minimal prizemoney is in my view a big risk...how would you like to see lincoln sea or odysseus break down as a result of track whilst racing for $3,850?

Another Grub- yes I was refering to RM... I apologize... I think had identities mixed up...

OL surfie girl doesn't have good record on the dirt?? be wary, I rode it at ceduna and doesn't have the same pace as it does on turf... Deshann not going, and big call declaring Lincon Sea wit 58.5 (after Claim).. on a turning track... certainly best horse in race, but may not be suited against horses carrying 52 that can be on the speed...

Odysseus maybe 2 years ago but just an average horse (due to injuries) over here now. As I said b4, not a horse racing here at the moment that is 'too good' for Streaky. Lincoln Sea is a nice horse, but a long way down the list of cup winners. Maybe prize money is not that gr8, but it aint nothin flash in lincoln either. If you use that excuse for not going to Streaky then there wouldn't be a horse in training on the EP. We race for what there is because it's a hobby that we enjoy..they also don't earn prizemoney sitting in the yard.

grub...heard you were in the saddle last thursday nite....

That's not you named in the back pocket for souths is it ak? Thought the only 'slot' you were slipping into on saturday's at the footy from now on was a nice cosy spot in front of the bar!

rbob, yes we have recriuted Eckerman apparently. He would slot into that team easily I presume. I don't know much about the recruits this year check with HTM he hasn't missed a training and has been leading the field in the runs apparently.
Btb the saddle slipped last Thursday night!
What news Black Tom? We are over the consortium and the Murray Kelsh statement 'Waybacks will win every game this year by 10 goals" ....give us something new!!!
HS not sure who Seaman is, cant be Steele surely, more info needed HTM!
OL you claim Hoppo to be the best apprentice in SA ? WTF, he has had ample opportunity to make a name for himself in town and finds himself riding at Streaky Bay.... Scott Leckey is easily the best, I'd even put Stra on before BH. OL its country racing, these trainers from these regions support our meetings down here to make up the numbers and make races and meetings stand up. It is our turn to return the favour for their once a year meetings, mind you saying that I wouldnt be taking anything there that had ability.... cant agree with your statement btb that no horse is 'too good ' for Streaky. If you had an average horse that was finishing midfield or worse down here fine but a promising 3YO like Deshann, Roller Door and the like will gain no benifit from racing there.
zoo poo/wcp who was a better footballer Stix Torrens or Rog Boxer?

The news I was referring to was the latest submission just lodged with the SANFL for changes to the current father-son rules to allow for a long time supporter to nominate his unborn to the club of his choice........this will now surely kill the wounded Pt Adelaide Magpies (one could only hope!!!)
