Your 14's coach was unsuccessfull?? Didnt you guys win the GF this year? Do you know the rerason behind his sacking? Not too many coach's win a flag then get the sack!!

Power Raptor... I keep thinking your user name is Power Ranger

Teamwork...

I believe that Gianni is getting married next year and as we all know football can take alot of time out of people's already hectic schedules, so he is taking a break for a while and will concerntrate on just playing next year.

Re U14's ... we are obviously very grateful to the coach for taking us to 2 grandfinals, but it was a obviously a committee decision with the help/thoughts of the new senior coach to appoint an applicant of such quality in Steve Jaggard.
Also, IMO, perhaps the kids of this age group who have had the same coach for 3 years could benefit from insight and coaching for a different person.

Gianni stepped down cause he's got stuff to do this year and won't have the time to commit to another season. Plus i think he's looking at a bigger picture in his coaching career. :D
As for the 14's coach getting replaced i don't know the reason behind that, but with Steve Jaggard taking over the reigns, i'm sure he won't dissapoint in getting these kids ready to play senior footy later in their lives. This has been a big downfall here for a number of years, where kids aren't prepared properly to continue on after juniors have finished!

KK why have the juniors been so succesful yet those kids have failed to go on? They must be able to play footy but maybe havent been appreciated by the seniors. Not sure you can just blame the junior coaches

Power Ranger  (Sorry can't resist),

I don't think KK is 'blaming' anyone.

But everything is a learning curve, and it's been noticed that junior premierships have not turned into senior ones... so something that we have to work on as a club both in juniors and in the younger ones who are now seniors, as well as the seniors who've been there for a while... so basically that equates to working on the whole club.... which with the coaching appointments as they are for next year, if all can work together well, should be a step in the right direction.

And as I said that's not taking anything away from Gianni etc.... as you all know I am a huge Gianni fan :D

A Mummy (sorry but you seemed too tightly wrapped)
But there are some players who played juniors and senior colts in the last few years who i thought should have gone on to play senior football at your club but have left for what ever reason... and I dont believe it was because of their junior coaching, more so than how they were used or underused during their next senior years.

With a change in focus for the junios in 09, a hell of a lot more will come. Lets hope Hilly is able to continue to improve and use these players diligently.

Power Ranger... which is it....we or your :-k

I suppose there were/are lots of different reasons why juniors move/moved on after their junior grades finished up...I'm not sure why, but you obviously think it's because of how they were/are treated.

It's not my department but once again, if this were the case then something we will obviously have learnt from.
However it is a big jump from being a junior part of the club to being a senior part of the club physically so and mentally so... I'd think.

I have absolutely no idea TD... I don't really have much to do with the senior 'set up' side of things, so can't help with an answer there I'm afraid.

Here is one for all you Mclaren die hard supporters... Tell me this if Steve Hill is so serious about your club then why is it his 3 sons are still staying at Morphett Vale? Get real people do you really think Steve will be there for the long haul when his sons are playing else where. If you all think Steve won't be back at M Vale within a couple of years watching his lads play your all naive.
And just on another note.... just wonder if Dale Wilson will then again follow Steve..........

Maybe he's 'checking us out' and they will follow later :-k

I suppose the only person who would know the answer to your post is Steve himself.

But for now, well in my opinion for one, am grateful to have him at all.
