What a joke
What's wrong with Callington ?
They must need to replenish the hfl bank account
If a player gets badly injured due to the shocking state of the oval , are the directors going to pay his medical costs.
Draw a line in the sand Milang you have nothing to lose

Can't use Callington this Sunday as there is Under 11's carnival there until late in the afternoon

Does anyone know the outcome of the pitch report which was supposed to happen today?

The support on this forum has been incredible and heartening for the Panthers and is good for Div 3 footy. This site is visited by League Directors although you'll never get them to admit it and respect it. Even if they don't give a rats', they can't ignore such diverse input.

This debacle need never have happened if some respect had been given to the validity and potential of this comp in that the Grand Final should have been scheduled and booked early in the year at a neutral ground.

On a more positive note, I hear Sedan/Cambrai will probably be playing Cs next year. All the more reason for scheduling Grand Finals in the country where we ALL play, apart from Blackwood.

The outcome of today is that the 2015 Div 3 Grand Final will be played in the mud at Blackwood this Friday night. I visited the ground yesterday and the surface was disgraceful, even without the predicted rain on Thursday and Friday. Money money money, must be funny, in a rich club's world. All the things you can do.

Not so funny for the well-being of players and support staff, especially when there were other neutral options to play on a safe surface.

All support for the Mighty Milang Panthers gratefully received near the bench, in the huddles, around the ground and with your noise. Get there if you can for $2 and see a genuine Div. 3 side give it our best shot.

Not good news HTR, I really feel for Milang but you boys have worked hard all year and will rise above it. I would suggest all who disagree with this stupid and dangerous decision protest at the gate when you go through. And try not to spend a cent on food and drinks while you're there. See you at the huddle HTR and start enjoying GF week knowing you have a lot of punters behind you. Cheers mate 8)

Surely they can't be serious - get rid of the HFL board - take a lead from Essendon - hills footy needs some fresh air so the league can thrive again.

IMO the HFL Div 3 GF must be played on a neutral ground that is in the best possible condition to showcase that divisions premier game for the season.
Where do these guys get off on making decisions like this favouring one side and how can they keep getting away with this and not be held to account.
Use any oval in the HFL that is in the best condition and available - but for everyone's sake make it neutral AND FAIR!

The HFL board should be outlined and named on this site so everyone can see who is responsible - with their club of origin stated

Glen Sickerdick - President - ???? - retiring
Glenn Thomson -,Vice President - ????
Graeme McNabb - Onkas
Peter O'Shaughnessy - Bridgewater
Don Cranwell - ????
Owen Lamshed - ????
Trevor Edwards - Macclesfield
Michael Elliott - Macclesfield

If anyone can assist with the ones I am not sure of that would be appreciated - and the length of time that have been on the HFL board
I have sourced the above list from Sporting Pulse so it is freely available - but please let me know if this is incorrect or out of date.
Understandably the positions are voluntary and the members of the board undertake the role with the best interest of footy in mind - but the continual prevalence of this type of decision making becoming a regular occurrence is beyond belief it seems to so many supporters and participants of Hills football.
My comments are made with no personal malice intended and are in no way stating that the club of origin has any bearing on decisions made by this independent and elected board.

Fair call! Hfl has been in news for all wrong reasons in last few years. Def time for some change!

Problem is it requires people to get off their complaining a**es, put their hand up & actually do something. Then they've got to cop the abuse coz no matter what they do or say, it will be wrong for someone. As I've found throughout life, people will complain on the smallest of issues but very rarely give praise for even the toughest decisions.

Fully understand Cracka and agree with your comment
It certainly would be a thankless job and taking into account it is fully voluntary not too many would put their hand up.
There may be a resistance from prospective new board members currently though as they won't nominate to be part of the current board.
To gain a fresh start and possibly gain a new board make up the current board needs to be dissolved in its entirety - make this known publicly - and promote it as a fresh start.
Promote it strongly that change is occurring and actively seek new board members.
If this results in current board members being re elected then the clubs and hills footy community have to live with it.

Is it a situation where anyone can nominate or do they need to be sanctioned by a current member?
If the latter - then maybe this is a roadblock?
Can you assist with the club of origin and serving time for current board members Cracka - as you have a good understanding of it?

Anyone at the AGM, could be their mate sitting next to them if he wants.

I couldn't help but notice the total absence of a single mention of the HFL Div. 3 Grand Final in this week's Courier. I think this says it all in terms of the interest and respect the HFL has for this competition.

No-one in their right mind would nominate to be part of the existing HFL Board.

There needs to be a vote of no confidence in the entire Board and all positions declared vacant. There is a provision for this in the Constitution if the majority of member clubs agree. All it needs is a few clubs with enough b***ls to make it happen.

Perhaps an advertisement even that let's the community know when it's played, where it's played and who is playing.
Not too much to ask being the pinnacle match of the new Div 3 competition - or is it?

Think you'll find that the Blackwood president has a bit to answer for causing the delay in the final decision & for the confusion on where this game is being played.

Such huge support and interest in Div 3 footy over the past few days! Get to Blackwood if you can tomorrow night at 7 pm and get behind the Mighty Milang Panthers with your voices near the bench, in the huddles and around the ground. Here is a great chance to support a Club which lives within its' means and plays for the jumper. We're very proud to be up there and will give our best :-)

All the best to the Panthers would love to see the underdog get up. Was going to go but work has intervened. Hope someone posts the scores later.
