just heard a rumour that kangarilla b grade may not be fielding a side this week against torrens apparently only 27 players were available with 15 from last weeks 42 unavailable through injury or work commitments.

pretty sad considering they made the last three grand finals and almost knocked of the league leaders and reigning premiers a few weeks ago.... anyone confirm this???

That is huge news if its to be the case...... Whats gone wrong down there this year. Is it just a case of too much Stringer coaching or are there deeper issues ??

Yehhh can confirm this dentist not good for a proud club, things have unfortunatly turned for the worse. No one wants to see this happen. Could this be because the inspiriational Trent Thorpe is out the boys might be low on motivation. The guy is a legend.

I have heard from excellent and reliable sources that this will not be the case and that Cally are determined to struggle through the year.

hard to say shortman....

i genuinely dont think there a deeper issues. its more a case of there being a lot of players there who dont want to play for the coach. im not sure if its any one think that stringer has does but you could definatly say the "wayne stringer factor" that was so prominent over the last 3 years has well and truly worn off.

credit to the guy though. he's still putting in 110% and trying to get the most out of what he has available to him. i think alot of players more than the coach need to take a long hard look at themselves

b grade coach is very disappointed as are those who play b grade week in week out. even when they were getting beaten comfortably in the SFL they still fielded 2 grades and had plenty to spare.

that may be the case for some dentist but really shouldn't you be playing for your mates, the jumper and the club. i think some of the players should have a good hard look in the mirror. once again the old footy saying "the club is bigger than the individual"

Jolly good luck to the Brookers if they have got hold of the one and only Marc Cox.
Don't bother getting him too much gear, give him some old shorts and a second hand club shirt 'cause he doesn't stay long enough at the one club to deserve anything that's brand new!

I'm happy you are loving the Terminator ORDB. Good luck with that..... I honestly hope he takes your club forward and not backward.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Karma works in funny ways. Reckon it was a fair few of these B graders a couple of years back dishing it out to the James Brothers each time we played them. They all had plenty to say back then, but not too much after last years GF and definitely not too much now. Wish I could feel sorry for them ;)

Yep I feel the same way Cougar. Weve been on the receiving end of some pretty bad verbal bashing from Kangy players and fans in recent times and now this comes along and its really hard to feel sorry for them.

I agree cougar and shortman a piss week effort by Kangarilla, a coupleof losses and they dont play what a club of front runners at least Callington have fielded two sides every week this year.

You took the words right outa my mouth mate! Maybe the boys at Kangy should make a few phone calls to Callington and ask them how it's done.

Pretty sad turn of events for the Kangy footy club, as mentioned Kangy always put two teams on the field week in week out in the SFL when they were getting belted by 30 goals, everyone played for the club. Even then though there always seemed to be a few extra people at training when we were playing Hackham or Lonsdale.

As I understand it, the players were asked at the end of last year if they had a preference about Wayne playing on, from what I have been told a majority said they were not fussed either way or were happy for him to continue on. I dont know if anything has changed since then but it cannot be the coaches fault, it has to be done to the players. Its all well and good to say there are x amount of injuries but that has never been a factor before, and its a bit hard to swallow seeing last week was a week off. Its a pity some of the players are not prepared to take some of the slack that is left from Trent Thorpe's injury, knowing Trent he was never one to wave the white flag and was always the one doing the hard yards when the times were tough in the SFL.

Its pretty easy to stand up and be counted when the team is winning, a true clubs colours are seen when the times are not so tough.

i think that you'll find there were low numbers before they were losing. however i will agree that its a piss poor effort. unforunatly, it doesnt seem to be the b grade players who are showing poor attitude and yet they are the ones missing out this week.

where's raidis, p wakefield, mahomet, burton and north? five guys who are senior players, four with premiership medals and apparently are never at training and not fused about playing...

has kangarilla's falling on the sword and clearance of 'unwanted' players backfired?

Thats where the problem is. Senior premiership winners who arent fussed about not playing ?? Whats their attitude towards some of the hard workers in the B grade not getting a game at all ?? Seems like theres more to it than just who the coach is IMO.

Kangarilla left the SFL for more success, and are now no good in the HFL, will no doubt apply for Div 7 status in the SAAFL. Expect to see them with a new coach and in a new comp next season

Pigsy says Kangarilla players need to grow some nuts like the Callington crew.
