getting rid of stringer would probably achieve nothing. i doubt the club would boot a coach out so quickly after 3 successful seasons and he's said he's happy to take a dent in his coaching record if uys are willing to at least have a crack and represent their club with a bit of heart. wouldnt it be interesting if those close games that kangy lost went the other way. could be 6 and 2 and looking the goods for another finals appearance. im also led to believe that the team voted for no train no play not the coaching staff

I dont think Stringer is the one at fault here, he has always implemented, to my knowledge, a no train no play policy, not sure if its been as inforced as much as it has this year or not. I personally think he should of budged on this stance this week though and as mentioned above, only play those certain players in B grade. Doesnt seem fair that honest B grade players are missing a game because some guys have decided to pull the pin. Everyone commited at the start of the year knowing full well who the coach is, should all have to suck it up for the sake of their mates ho are prepared to keep going.

1250, thats same at most clubs....but what has that got to do with forfeiting a game and keeping honest players out? Well explained Dentist....my apologies ;)

It seems with the exodus of players with the club thats why they left the club because they knew who the coach was! The players that are still there and that arnt training or cant be bothered playing because of the coach, and I know its a poor attitude or people dont have a problem with him, but they do and that the facts. The middle to end of last year players were ask if the have a problem with wayne or how you think he was going and the group did have a problem with him, the leadership group at the time had the oppotunity to tell i believe it was the president or committee this, but did not speak out. That where the problem began, Its funny that they didnt choose to pass on this information from the playing group beacause players have left from the leadership for this reason ie the B grade captain, 2 of the 4 A grade leadership have left too and the other too I know wouldnt say anything because one of them is his son and the other the captain is just too nice of a guy! But maybe that kangarillas problem there just too nice to each other and dont wanna face the facts!

J jackson left because of stringer, his brother just followed ( pushed outa club ) housten definatly stringer, hahn work isnt playing, barra wanted to play under smelt and other mates were leaving. no of them were for money! I would liek to see who else then..... whats your thoughts then on the leaderships actions last year then??? agree??? you cant believe it was money because it wasnt. other players left sawtel - coach/new baby, guitink - coach/higher level, ward - coach, cooney - coach/opportunities that list could go on

Would have to agree with dunno's comments no one left for money just better opportunities because of the coach, but would have to say Wardy did leave for a meat tray! The leadership did have the opportunity to stand up for the playing group but for some reason didnt and then some bailed, which led to the 'exodus' now mates at the club are paying the price, some one from the club needs to stand up a fresh face and take control. The club was in such a strong position the last 2-3 years ago and its a shame to see the hard work go down the drain.

How are Kangies looking for numbers this week, bearing in mind they are taking on Callington? Surely a lot of players with sore spots will magically have the ability to make themselves available this week.

Kersbrook always play uncleared players, cos they needed to, to beat Gumeracha by 18 goals  Played his first game in the Double Blue on Saturday, seemed to enjoy himself and post match as well. The Brookers have the bye this week, before taking on the all conquering Cheque Book Valley.

What are the rules re forfeits in the Hills League?

I have always thought that you had to play both A's and B's and if that meant that you play the same 21 for both grades so be it !!

If Kangy's 'Coaching Panel' made the decision to forfeit without taking on the offers of assistance to fill two sides this week, they should be dismissed IMO. With 27 on the track, ex players, juniors, the odd slacko, and perhaps maybe one or two doubling up, Kangarilla could easily have made up two sides. Forfeiting should be the LAST available option to any Footy Club. Forfeiting is like waving a white flag, giving up when things are a bit hard, all coming from a side that made the Grand Final last year  All clubs go through tough times and no doubt when Kangy were flying a couple of years ago, their numbers at training would have been great. But to anyone who thinks that a club that is 2-6 is going to get the same numbers on the track as they did a couple of years ago, has their head in the sand. While the 'No train, no play' theory has been around for years at various clubs, to show players that if ya wanna play, you HAVE to train. A lot of Gen Y footballers also have a theory 'I don't give a F***!' and wouldn't care if a club forfeited to prove a point.

Who is he going to play for this week then?? In all seriousnss though it could be a recruiting coup because he only has 2 games to not enjoy himself in and then cant be cleared to another club after June 30 so may as well stay and have a chance at a flag. Will be useful at Kersbrook no doubt. Also Cougar do you know why he was left out of the goalkickers in the paper??

Hey Cougar, I saw on the HFL clearance out page that there's a Kim Pearce been cleared from Kersbrook to St Pauls!!

Surely this isn't the "one & only godfather of the Brookers"??? or is Kim different to Kym?

Or is this some sort of a lost bet or something????

Kym Pearce and Mark Cox were involved in a 3 way trade. Encounter Bay gave us Mark Cox, for which we had to trade Pearce to St.Pauls. St.Pauls gave Encounter Bay the shorts and socks Cox owes them. I think the deal is a win win for all clubs.

Agreed, forfeiting like they have will leave a stigma with the club for a long time.
