WCP - could be worse - you could support Glenelg where history has shown inroads to failure off the field leads to failure on the field.

Not another Bays Basher...let us have some time in the sun. Not looking too bad this year, Steiger.

Oh yeah, there's been some 'average' years, that's for sure. And couldn't quite keep up with North. Them and Port will be hard to top.

Justquietly - What can u tell me about Ironbank (didn't it used to be called Cherry Gardens / Ironbank). Seems to be a large contingent of ex Port lincolnites over there. Shane kenny ex waybacks is only one I know of and how's he going. Showed a bit of promise when over here. But the club's netballers have I think 5 including my daughter Amy, Kym Roach's daughter Kaili, Peter Dempsey's daughter Kate, Katie Redding (Bruce's daughter) and one other.
Perhaps you can do some spying for me so I know if they are being good girls

Hawesy will make the players watch 'the great escape' before their clash with Tassies at Ravendale, so they dont get lost in the tunnell. Prison Break is advised also but not compulsery.
Working Bee at the club this Sunday please bring a shovel.

Steiger - how'd you know I knew a bit about Hills footy. No secrets here!
No dramas. I can tell you that Ironbank is a bit of a combination team, their cricket side is called SCIB (Scott Creek Ironbank) and is pretty much Cherry Gardens. Footy not far off that either.
They came up about 3-4 season back into Central div from Country (div2). I played against them several times. They really were patchy. Maybe made the finals once, but have had a pretty good list eg Russell, Brad Smith, Exelby, Sodomka, Ladhams, Morrissey. This year they're not going too well, my Lofty boys beat them by 125 points on Sat night, no sign of Shane Kenny from what I could see. Was keen to have a beer with him. Maybe he made it into Sturt's team?
Exelby's lacking a bit of cattle there this year. Not sure who they'll beat to be honest.
Not sure about other ex Pt Lincolnites though, haven't heard of any. Was a whisper Daniel Jelinek went there too.
If they pop into the crafers pub mate (not sure of their age!!!) I can make sure they're behaving!

I meant the girls in that last line. And I don't think they can get up to TOO much in Ironbank. Quiet place...

I can report Shane Kenny trying out at the bays. Best mate in town is there fitness coach and he asked me about him. He also informed me he is true blue country boy, second training complained of crook shoulder, they asked what happened to it? Response, I dislocated 2 weeks ago and have had no treatment or anyone look at it since.

Reminds me of the good old days when the trainers kit consisted of a wet towel and a tube of fernalgon (spelling?). If you took a knock to the head and saw the trainer coming out to check on you, you would run the other way - fernalgon used to sting like hell and not to good around the old eye socket. Or your groin area as I can recall

Fernalgon (?) was then replaced by the magic spray.

Manunda Hawks in Cairns had a female trainer, when you saw Dirty Donna coming you'd run like hell as well. Bashed fairly regularly with the ugly stick!! Poor old Dongah when he was up there, got told you weren't a real Hawk unless you'd had her, he did and never lived it down!!

Eski - not sure how that Shane Kenny thing would work. he sat out a year, went to ironbank so he could get in the Sturt zone. Unless a deal has been brokered, he wouldn't be allowed to play for the Bays.
Ironbank are still waiting on Tom to pay them back for the lunches he got out of them.
