You have to do something pretty extreme to get a life ban from footy. They player the Hit Dylan should get the same ammount of weeks that Dylan will be out for, I assume if its a broken jaw then 6 to 8 weeks is normal??? Does this mean he will miss grand final if Kersbrook make it now???

the Dentist said "also interested in the tribunal incident with big tappy... red carded off in the 2nd quarter and i was told by a few of the kersbrook boys that this most recent incident would mean a life ban for him?"

Life Ban!!! you live in hope.

Being at the ground and seeing it live (and dare I say it before someone else does) It was a mere love "Tapp" (bad pun i know - sorry) but it happened to be right next to the umpy!!!

Must say I have newfound respect for G Hughes and the T Valley boys. Have had the nuts to want to go up to Divvy 1- it would be short-sighted of the HFL not to place them there. Now would i say that if I were Owen, Crumber?

Any truth to the rumor that Kangys favourite son Heath Thorpe is coming back next season to captain/coach the club out and bring back a few handy players?

How incredible is that!
Overnight we have "newfound respect" for something or someone, I wonder how that happens?
Next thing you'll be offering is "newfound forgiveness"!

although the addition of Heath the the club will be fanatastic, as he is a true legend of the area, the club needs to remember that bringing players to the club will only provide success in the short term.

if we look back to 2006, Wayne Stinger brought a heaps of players and knowledge to the club which resulted in a top 4 finish for three years in a row. whilst that is great for the short term, and believe me he taught a few of the blokes there (myself included) how to play football, there was not one junior player rise from senior colts to senior football from 2005-2008, and look where they are now. Imports gone, noone from the ages of 18-21 having had 2-3 years experience in senior grades.

IMO the club needs to nuture the current group of kids through and expose them to senior footy (especially A Grade) to make them consistent contributes for 2 years down the track. Through good junior management, and fantastic parental support, the club now has 3 years of quality junior players to feed into the senior system and must concentrate on development of their own footballers.

what im trying to say is the club must sacrifice short term success for long term gain, however Heath Thorpe whould be a wonderful mentor for these young players.

GO YOU BLUES!!!!

I got the impression from the other post that if it did eventuaute it may be some old players returning to the club, not Heath bringing players with him from down South East.

Have to remember that when Stringer took over he practically had no juniors to work with at all, to now see both junior grades doing well is a credit to the club and the coaches. I think Kangy are just seeing some of the original young kids play some senior footy. There would be at least half a dozen guys now playing senior footy. Kangys were always going to drop off but I feel a new coach will revitalise the club. In saying that though I think Wayne has done a great job out there, really turned the club around, I just feel his time has come.

I heard through the grape vine that things at Nairne are not all beer and skittles. Only 12 blokes on the track tuesday night? Pretty disappointing I would of thought heading into finals, may be a quick campaign which would be a shame as they had a fair bit of promise at the start of the year (again)

I totally agree with you BRaG, When Wayne took over he needed to bring players to the club because the last influx of juniors was from the 2004 U/18's which won 1 game in the southern league. Now were looking at a senior colts team who will have been in the finals two years in a row and a junior colts who are looking at potential back to back premierships. what wayne has done with the club has been fantasitc, he has turned a club that was happy with mediocrity to a club that strives for success across the board and does not accpet defeat.

what im trying to say is that now we have the juniors to filer up, we need to sway away from looking to imports and try to emulate those like Kersbrook and Meadows especially who have been able to produce their own talent...then try and keep them around.

having moved away from the club this year, its exciting to look down and see the kids coming through and truely cherish runnning out in the double blue not only playing junior footy, but now senior footy, something that i doubt would happen at clubs like TV who have decided to rent out positions for short term glory.

35 on track last nite......5 into As from injury......4 into Bs incl a couple of seasoned footballers.

Rams have been hit hard by injury but there new no train /no play rule is paying dividends.
