I know that Roos a great player, but the ability to eat thru the back of his head is a remarkable talent.....

On a serious note, what does everyone think of the beer prices at footy? I think $3 a can is great value, no need for an eski anymore! Is it $3 at all venues? Do we have to drink Coopers at Ravendale? has anyone heard that? ak rates those snitzel burgers 10/10 at Centenary.

grub is not OL. Period.

btb is right though...OL will slip up...my guess is it will be a slip up in the outside world not the "real word" we have on the net here

G'day btb...chat is now 85% footy related so I thought i would now participate from time to time. Yes I have been a regular viewer of the site.
Also the plight of B Grade footy in this league is getting a fair mention lately..just want to have my say on it when required.
Im a passionate Reserves player and are quite concerned with some rule changes of late ie 14 side..supplying own umpire..etc
As it is we only play 15min quarters with no time on which is a bit of a joke when the ball gets kicked over the fence...pretty amateurish I reckon..

Totally agree bish. Just waiting for a club to flaunt the new rule by playing only 14 or 15 without any real attempt to put together a full side. Hasn't happened yet but has the potential to severely disadvantage the club with depth. Will mean that fringe players from the stronger clubs may likely miss out on playing. This new rule is only in the trial stage and is to be reassessed after the first round of games eg Mortlock.

I think 15 mins is OK, but it requires time on to deal with the 'over the fence boot'

time on rule is not OK... 12 mins in last qauter of GF 5points up and the opposition captain calls a player count. Game Over. Not on. Maybe time-on last half or something to curtail this.

Not sure I understand that, AG. If a player count is called, wouldn't the clock stop, like it should?

exactly AG, time on in last half, or at the very least in the finals....bout time the League treated the reserves comp with a bit more respect. Will also bring in the fitness aspect into the game a bit more....

I agree Piesman, clubs should be encouraged to do the best they can to field a B Grade side. Our coach is on the phone constantly from Thursday night to Saturday morning trying to get a side together most weeks. Bostons should be commended for the efforts they made last year for doing their best to get a side onto the track.

The clock wouldn't stop if there was no time on.
