It was rumoured on this thread some weeks ago that Jaimen Stringer was going to be playing for Strath in 2010. I've since heard from a reasonably reliable source that can confirm it will be the case.

Have signed paul crighton as a grade coach, retained almost all of the 2009 playing list and have 12 players from the senior colts premiership team this year entering senior football. I believe they have signed four new a grade players already with a ruckman and full forward hopefully signing on the dotted line this week. A number of players from the 2007 premiership and 2008 grand final teams are returning also. The club is preparing for another assult on the finals in 2010

If they signed james and dempsey that is laughable u have a 6'3" mouse and a 6'2" steroid muncher both who dont like to get the football. Also heard that Todd Bajic a friend of deake smith is at the club next year.

Hargreaves & Ladhams?

Not sure Brett White will be playing in the country, his pregnant wife may have a say in the matter, it's called "travel sickness" along with "morning sickness", not nice!

Hills Country looks like having another big year in 2010. Been a lot of speculation about Clubs during the off season, but after all the talk, looks like Premiership Coach Brett James is going around at Kersbrook again. The Brookers have lost the services of Roger (Barossa Coach) and speculation continues that Paul may join his brother in laws at Uraidla. Either way, I can't see Brad Pearce going anywhere and with a Premiership Squad to work with, would surely go into 2010 as favourites. TV seem to be still ticking all the boxes with rumours of the player$ leaving seem to be unfounded. Carter (retired) and Hill (N.T.) are confirmed losses but with the possibility of a line up containing Jacques, Slattery, Clayton, Sitters plus $everal additions will see them pretty tough to beat again. The field seem distant again from these two, but Echunga should be thereabouts again with the signing of their astute coach, Gumeraha might be bringing more of Eastern Park up which should be interesting while Kangarilla should improve on a disappointing 2009. Nairne could be an interesting one if they do lose Big guns Percy and Twomey although the return of Murphy (O/S) would be handy. The Coaching exploits of Simon Johnson will be under the microscope again and it will be interesting to see how Maccelsfield fare next year.

Jug's Premiership odds for 2010.

Kersbrook $2.00
Torrens Valley $2.20
Echunga $8.00
Gumeracha $15.00
Kangarilla $20.00
Maccelsfield $25.00
Nairne Bremer $30.00
Meadows $100.00
Sedan-Cambrai $500.00
Callington $1000.00

Have heard that P.James was told he wouldnt be required at Uris next season by the club as they have no need for him. Uraidla feel they already have a talented squad as it stands and do not want any local colts coming up into senior ranks missing out on a game

For all of you Hills footballers/spectators past and current who have ever played with or against Bennett Sparrow, you will be sad to know that he passed away on Sunday. Big shock, great fella, he will be sorely missed. RIP.
