Interesting stuff Source.

Is Matthew Gale the big bloke who played for Broughton and in Port Augusta?
Also heard Ben Gunning (Norwood, CY Cougars, Modbury) to Torrens Valley.
Not too many outs on the Brookers front. Bingos and Pearce still going to Wallaroo?

If you go to the new HFL wesite as above- Then click on the club links there is a link that has the clearances on them, Some clubs yet to post their clearances online, Maccy, Echunga, Gums etc are some that we know would have some clearances in but yet to be up on the website.

Callington playing Karoonda in a trial on March 24? Hopefully they can get around 35-40 players out to start the season on an encouraging note.

There's an interesting name you would expect the Bay Sheff winner to inject some pace.

Its only early but these are my premiershiptable prediction
1st Torrens Valley (probably unbeatable this year unless there players come down with swine flu in the finals again this year.
2nd Kersbrook (maybe the only team with any hope against tv)
3rd Gumeracha (i see them improving again from last year)
4th Echunga (still a good side may of lost a couple)
5th Maccy (same as gum)
6th Meadows
7th Nairne
8th Kangarilla
9th Sedan/Cambrai
10th Callington

Not a bad effort - Its going to be very even from second to eigth. Kangarilla have a few ins but I dont know anything about their quality so they might be better than you expect (like wise Nairne). If Kersy lose Pearce, Lees, James and Bingos they will come back to the pack considerably.

I think the teams should all treat the prelim final as the GF. Surely Even a Rubbish Coach like Hughes couldnt lose the GF with a team that will be better than last years.

here is a theoretical question.... what would happen if every team forfieted against torrens valley during the year then when it came to finals they would be top but have played no football and be easier to beat because they would be out of practice...? would be interesting to see if the players stuck around?
