another grub wrote:Interesting comments from Waybacks coach saying it was good to play on 'our homeground'!! Was that tounge in cheek or do Waybacks think they will be staying there? Was that the right comment to make- giving it was Tasmans buig day-? Wouldnt he have been beter mentioning a couple of young kids or something? Your thoughts?
It is our home ground grub...clubrooms straight across the road if you haven't noticed. The only problem with DH's comments were that they were coupled with Wally's who is everyones best friend. Always magnanamous in victory and defeat, but thats wally. Also there was enuff Tasman back slapping on the weekend without us getting involved.

What about Darren Allards last sentence in his write up. sheesh DG will be breathing fire after that.

I thought, after last year, Waybacks were now sharing Mallee's home ground...

Just thought it was having a crack at Tasmans on their big day btb! The day wasnt about Waybacks playing on their 'home ground'!
Compared to MR most teams lack depth! Fair call!

Agree Grub - Darren G is an astute man and he would know his club inside out. Honesty is a virtue and he wouldn't come back at a comment he and the rest of the Port Lincoln footy supporters know to be a fact. It has been said time and again that LS top half a dozen are as good as any other club but they they fall away quicker than they would like. Having said that, how would MR go without say Parker, Parker, Rynne and O,Brien. Had that been the case last Saturday and LS were close to full strength instead of being decimated with injury, I dare say the result would have been reversed.

Jarrod Christian will play for Marble Range when he returns.
Wally Lamont was outcoached again on Saturday. He makes too many positional changes and doesn't let the team settle. Lamont should take a leaf out of Hawes' book.

Wally and Grocke with the personel they had out would have had to have made plenty of moves wouldn't they?.... I can say LS did the best with what was available.
btb- I can see where you are coming from ... maybe it wasn't worded right... maybe he could have said 'MR more depth than LS'... I think we all know what he was trying to say. His write-ups usually aren't too bad (compared to).

as explained before white tips with my position in the community it would be advisable if my identity was withheld, not just for my sakes but for the organization I am involved with as well.
I can only make comments on what I see at the footy and hear around the place. While my sources aren t always correct I try to decifer the good from the bad.
