I actually find it quite staggering when a majority of players that were picked in the zone squad didnt even play the carnival! If a player is good enough he will make the assoc. team, hence giving himself every chance to make the zone squad from his performance against the best in that year. If players miss the game through injury and such, thats unfortunate but still should not get into the squad for the obvious reason.......THEY WERENT THERE!!!! Give the other players that represented their chance.

muckhole wrote:You lot dribble shit. Jared (my cousin not brother swamp donkey and rooster you cork heads)) did not play because he didnt have to. He has played and shown enough dedication to the association for the last 10 years GET OVER IT. Matty Young in the past couple of years has been selected in the squad, trained both weeks and been left out so why should he put in the effort this time. Andy Evans played last year, played assoc footy for Yorke Peninsula a couple of times and played more associatiom footy down the South East. I dont think he was trying to aviod it he just has a life outside footy.

We took the best side that was available and that wanted to play and were unlucky not to have had a crack at top spot.

I see the zone squad was picked, good work Bussy, Catty, Jezza, Loewe, Kouta and some blokes were picked on previous performances. You wouldnt be happy with that tigertalk.

I never said he was your cousin corkhead!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the zone team, its another load of crap. Blokes selected that didnt play association footy. Yeah nah thats really rewarding blokes who put thier name up for association footy. Doesnt send a real strong message to convince blokes to play association. What other blokes were selected in the zone team???

Pub talk hey faxu, well if you want the truth to be heard, get shane stokes on and get him to tell us about the G. Cooke situation with Gawler Centrals.

Hamley Bridge vs Two Wells @ Hamley Bridge: The Roosters by 14 goals (Watts 8-9 goals)
Mallala vs United @ Mallala Draw

could be any number of reasons, lic, work late. etc and Shane's the coach and what he and g Cooke have worked out(regarding training) that's up to them!his performance to date warranted association selection! 8) so I'll leave the rest to you, but i will add! why was it that a number of clubs trained at Virginia prior to last years finals, so all the players could attend training being sum only trained once a week with their clubs!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

ease up!!

yeh plenty of players train at a different location...the mighty wedgies a prime example.

HOWEVER i think training 2 times a week with your previous club (who you have tried to be cleared back to on a number occaisons) is a bit different!! especially when gawler centrals isnt far from virginia.!!!!!!

BUT to his credit he has been in the best and played in the association game/s.

...oh well...im off to the pub...got to keep up with the footy somehow!!

Just quickly, good work on the Website wedgie and if there's nothing on the 29th, can i get a plug in for the Commercial Hotel Gentlemans evening in Two wells, i may have mentioned on in this Forum recently, $35. for beer, fun and boobs on the the 29th at 7:30pm if you could find your way to letting a few of the blokes up your way know we promise to go easy on you at Two Wells the next time around :D

And yes, Kevin Sheedy is at Balak and will have a couple of jumpers to auction off so get there with some hard earned and grab one, should be a top night (even if it is at Balak).

PS: he could have been at Two Wells but someone from our comittee, not naming anyone said we'll pass!!!!! :? :? #-o

how do you rate him against boo eddy, g curnow was a big unit top bloke too by the way im not knocking his personality its just rooster keeps putting tickets on him. I'm questioning his athleticism, aglility and from what I've seen the ball must be delivered with precision, what's his conversion rate?

Boo had a great leap, good kick. Unstoppable on a day when the forward lines were open.

Watts can take a pack mark, was a good half forward, and kicks fairly accurately. Unlike his older brother ;)

Different types of players.

Isn't it interesting to see that R.Reid, M.Pym and J.Earl al were best on ground for their respective clubs? :-k

The week off obviously helped them freshen up, all three were picked in the Association side and all three ruled themselves out and yet a week later here we are all three best on ground. :? :?

Faxy, yeah id say they are two different types of player.
Boo eddy was a leading forward with great hands and a great finish, whereas right now we re not seeing B Watts at his best. A few years younger and Watts was a sensational ruckman with a great workethic and consistently took the big grabs all over the ground. Having aged a bit and his body is now slowing down i think its a real weapon that TW have, in that he can sit up forward and provide a huge target up there. He is a very clever footballer and is very important to TW this season.

Does anybody know what ever happened to that Full Forward from Mallala named Scotty Visser. If i remember correctly he kicked over 100 goals one season, but then all of a sudden he was gone and i havent seen his name since!!!! PS This was back in mid 90's.

Dunno?? kind of tee'd off on these guys didn't I?

would have thought the clubs may have put different names in paper.

Yeah, The Big Unit is getting on, the fact that Two Wells is full of young Runners even makes him look slower, handy though, plays like Daryl Poole did, just got them to bomb in on his head!!
