Cheers, Grub. Holy crap, Saturday's game sounds like a cracker! Must have been bucketing down!
So LC came second?
And yes, congrats to the new farja, LM. Half of MR's members in about 2026 will have the same last name at this rate!

Great Flinders were too good for us OL, but we had them worried going into the last half..... I was watching with a group of their supporters and they couldnt believe we were taking it up to them and the difference in our game and physical presence from our earlier interleague clash... well done to all who represented the team!
9 months and spook could be a farja too!!!
More Smith fratenity.... the tradition continues.... better clear some more area in front of the caravan and extend the Members bar!

If it was only $150
Didn't spend any time with the JB girls or will I have to worry about being a farja in 9mths - You'd be more likely to score that title.

Should have Paech played for LD? I know in the media they were livered that this lad wasn't given a chance. Is he in the best 22 or was it because he was from Bostons he should have been included? have your say! The selectors of LD arent happy with the media's comments!

Righto then, Mortlocks behind us and we have the commencement of the round 2 to contend with. Will be very interesting to see how those sides heavily involved last weekend will fare. Personally think that Waybacks might be ripe for the taking against Mallees. We don't play well at pecker park, and with an injury cloud or two and 3-4 known unavailabilities this becomes a real danger game. Mallees have got a few handy ins recently and will be dangerous imho.

Mallee's still have a lot of improving to do though Bluesy, they were terrible against us and to allow Bostons to kick 10 goals and have an even last half shows how far off the pace they are. Improvement will come, but not enough to get a win this week.

Our 8 goal win over Tasmans last round will be irrelevant this week. I'm expecting a very tight contest that could go either way. Our first half against Souths was deplorable last start, and we may need a loss to stop the complacency I can detect. That said, I reckon our 'quality' players are better than theirs and we should win enough positions on the ground to get the win. Looking forward to a beverage or 10 upstairs, all aboard.....

A bit precious are they?..Can tell you that they would not have been as livid as the Boston FC. MP is a quality young kid and can play...wasn't just not selected in the 25, was not even named as an emergency for the team which would have guaranteed him a match on Monday.(and I think they only had 20 for monday)....they had no problems picking him for Ceduna a few weeks b4...The excuse he got for not picking him was that he was young and would get his chance...then they include a 17 yo from the same club in their squad who is not as highly rated by the club....then they include a player currently under suspension who had no real interest in playing...wtf????

yes......SR got reported for striking and copped 2 Mortlock games (the 2 games on Mortlock Monday)...

HS - no one from the LC camp was offering up excuses - GF a far better, more polished side......the difference was purely in the key personnel and the ability to find the footy - smart footballers playing smart football......

No bites here HS...LC should have gone on with it, but a dumb 7 minutes of footy cost them. In fact almost every game they were slow starters...both halves. Maybe they were not revved up enough to 'hit the ground running' which is needed in these types of games...TRR comment?
No problems here with city & districts combining....just need to talk the GF hierachy ino voting for it....trying to protect their dominant record.
Having said that, wouldn't a GF / LC 'one off' game be a cracker. Players would be busting a gut to play from both sides...
And you are right, an LC player was reported and had to stand out Mondays games....clear to play for Tumby next round apparently.

Does someone want to remind HS the reason a combined side from PL doesn't play GF anymore!! Your officials won't allow an embarrasment like that day to occur to your proud League again.....

our game is the match of the round against tumby and will be a cracker, im out through injury, but will be interesting to see who is included in our team this week with the possibility of a big name coming back into the line up for his first game of the year (cant comment until after training tonight) i hate missing this game as it's hard to explain such a rivalry as i didnt know it existing while in the PLFL league, but up there it has the same rivalry as a crows V port game....im not sure why but there always seems to be more fights than usual and everyone is alot harder at it, and i know HS and crew loving going into the tumby bay hotel for a drink then we beat em

i suspect the match could go either way depending on how the boys pulled up from mortlock, we only had 2 players represent and other than HS's bruised nose and ego we have no other injury worries and will be at full strength. Whats the tumby team shaping up like pacer how did the boys pull up?

yelanna will be at full strength against lock and should account for them by 10 - 15 points

depending on how the rambler boys pulled up they will beat cougars by anything from 40-50 to 80 - 90 points

Many other injury reports for PLFL sides? Souths sound depleted, who's missing?
Who was it that copped games in Mortlock? Striking?

Injury counts at the clubs to the best of my knowledge are Waybacks 6 Marble Range 3 Tasmans 4 Souths 15 Bostons 4 and Mallee Park 3.
Speaking to Martin Bradley last night Souths list of outs are eckerman, jarvis, akehurst, north, rynne, white, taylor, rogers, johnson, little, ramsey, bryant, walton, kidney, ahern, seaman and cudderfish. with crouch rumoured to be away this week whos left?
