I will try to slip the gentlemans evening in Rooster but we have a pretty stict filtering system by a couple of Politically correct types who disapprove of anything which exploits women or offends other clubs. For example, pecker heads can not be used to describe Balaklava footballers as it is deemed offensive even though they are called the peckers. That and it is on a friday noght before the hummocks play. That said, read for the cryptic clues!!

I see Joel Nelson played for East Murray again on the weekend.
Must be running out of permits he can use to play for another club, while retaining his registration with another...

Hasn't anyone been to the pub yet to see who the latest evictee is on Virginian Big Brother. I think maybe Rooster was on the money with earlier comments posted on this thread. The "water monkeys" that run the show have just lost the best chance of moving forward as a club they will most likely ever get :? .............ITS TIME TO GO.............

STOKESY

a! a! a! now, talking like that maybe you should eat the whole tube!!!!!!!or maybe pork cooked over hot rock's would be easier on the palate. fact! the club is lead by people whom dont have any respect or understanding for the players whom put their body(livelihood)on the line week in week out. football is about footballers and not for what individuals suck out of the sporting community. this bring me to say how will the apfl be traveling with only six teams! reality check  it is not a nice thought! and hope all the lights at the bridge are firing????????.then there's five. :( . to set the record straight 99% of players had no problem with Shane stokes, the failer to retain and or recruit players is the main factor . we r(sports persons) behind a rock and flat footed. now that being pig headed     :(

Us eagles are front runners hence the lack of talk on here the last week. Credit to Balak they were too tall and too good. Got some handy players around the ball as well. Their talent probabaly doesnt reflect their position on the ladder and i guess, Hummocks' showing against quality teams this year doesnt reflect their position either. Common talk around the traps seems to always be focused on the fact that there are too many out but that its just crap talk. The longer you wait for people to return from injuries the more you lose sight of the week by week cliche needed in football. Plus those filling the spots of the injured struggle to relax and play their own game thinking it is only a short term proposition they are in the side. Arnold is still a few away, so is the likes of Chivell and talk is Valentine may be worse off than first thought.
Just to get a bit of fire back on here, was annoyed to see a certain ZONE selector resorting to dirty tactics against one of the first up picks for association sides. Eye gouging and cheap punches to the kidneys all day. Its a conflict of interest if a zone selector runs around on the field resorting to those tactics as they are no longer up to the standard of the game then expect the player to forget all about it and respect him at training. Either step down as selector or step out of playing. Talk was he actually used his position as a selector to verbally get into the players head. Didnt work cos he still got in the best!

Wedgetail - That selector certainly overstepped his mark, I would have thought that he was better than that has a person. Its been an interesting season on the plains, apart from Hamley's woes.

Well written wedgie, but i have heard otherwise this week. Hope your not trying to lead the magpies into a false sense of a few quality players back for the eagles. In fact i heard the opposite this week, that chivell, arnold, valentine, cowan will all be back in action this week. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Should be a terriffic game regardless of who hummocks have back in thier side!
However you make some great points regarding how sides should approach playing a game with many injuries such as the eagles. There is nothing worse than a loosing team winging about injuries. Its good to see you makng a strong stance for the eagles and ensuring that all 21 players should be responsible each week irrespective of who is playing alongside them. 21 strong willed players in any team is hard to beat!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedgie and start fill us in on this selector. Are we talking a bloke from the team which played the eags last week or prior to this.

tips for this week:

Hummocks/Watchman vs Mallala: Eagles to bounce back & win by 19 points Arnold kicks 4 goals [b]

Virginia vs Balaklava: [b]Balaklava by 49 points

United vs Hamley Bridge: United by 130 points. CCC to kick seven, willy to kick eight!!!

Swampy i have it on good authority Arnold still out for another couple at least and my opinion is Valentine gone for 2 minimum although could be wrong on that one cos Valentine is a courageous man. keep that quiet from the Maggies though. They did sign another midfielder during the week from Gepps Cross in div 1.
The selector was from the game against Balak on the weekend. The players face he re arranged by no means needed any outside help in doing so. He may be blessed football wise but looks wise is another question. Hopefully he doesnt read this or i might be banned from the port!!
