Also to try and make the league a viable and profitable entity so that there will be
some money to assist with future projects.
eg if the committee decides that Friday night football is more profitable than say a Saturday game
or maybe a Sunday game at Wangary is the go then that is what will happen. bearing in mind
that this will be made only if it helps footy ingeneral.
There will probably be a Chief Ex Officer or dierctor of Football operations to do the day to day work
probably part time. People on the Comm. will probabaly have some business and finance/ accounting experience.
A Tribunal will operate under the umbrella but will have no football club alligances.
There is a lot more and I hope what I have said is correct. but the gist of it is that the PLFL
will be run more
like a business, actively seeking sponsorship and promotion. From what I have seen I congratulate Tokers and the PLFL
for their foresight.

do you think someone is actually reading my posts??

Thinking outside the square, why couldn't we 'employ' a president?? Maybe offer $10-$15k pa. This might spark some interest from an old footballer who has retired from work and could do with a bit of extra cash.

We could also include in his contract that they need to 'raise' their own wage by bringing in new sponsorship (or other income). Maybe offer bonus' s for higher profits etc etc. I've seen the leagues financial details and i believe they could make a lot more money than they presently do. (and that would include leaving the admission price alone).

If the position was a 'paid' role, the accountability would be a lot greater and perhaps the leagues financial details would be more transparent.

hate to say i told you so but ...

I has a look at the Centenary Oval game and the Rangers showed what a competative group they are. They are honestly a couple players short of being a real contender.
Defenders Brooks, Red Meyers Calderwood, Gurton, Smith are good A grade footballers. A midfield of Sampson, Scott, Owen x2 and Puckridge is competitive. Watson can break even in the ruck. Parker and Meigel are EP standard footballers up forward. If they could get more from their last 8 or so players they can cause an upset in a tight final. A couple of dangerous small forwards would also help big time.
They have led Waybacks and Peckers at 3/4 time in the last 3 matches, they should have put Waybacks away yesterday in the 2nd term.
I think someone on here said that finishing third would be an 'easy route', think again the only easy route on offer would be at the pub that night.
I saw the 2 Sargeant boys and Tokarski play in the last half of the b grade and they all look like they could slot back into the side when fitness levels are up.

daicos, agree that the game could well have been over by half time. They lost Parker in the second qtr and they struggled from then on. I think Todd? Owen also got injured which didnt help. Really ran out of options, but were very brave imho.
They led at half time, but dees took the lead at 5 min mark of third and never surrendered it..
I can only imagine how they would be travelling with Hayden Parker....would make a big difference. They just lack a quality midfielder to call the shots.
Their back six yesterday of Brooks, Calderwood, Meyers, Smith, T Dennis and Puckridge (at times) is pretty handy. Gurtin carved Ziek on the wing early but kelso probably had him in the second half.

MP...RH was not entirely happy after the game. Not sure if he thinks heaven is all it is cracked up to be..... ;)

I thought the pressure the Rangers applied was great and although it dropped off late in the game they were most competative and I thoroughly enjoyed the match. Waybacks were not at their best but I put some of that down to MR 's relentless pressure.

Love it BTB. That's a ripper pun. Perhaps maybe a copy of Belinda Carlisle's greatest hits might be on the cd at home during the holidays!

After quarter time a fairly even game at Ravendale, Without Jericho they were a bit rudderless but I thought that the young
guys played fairly well Young Lakin was good got caught trying to take on Brown a couple of times.
Roosters had Semmler, mason,Christian, Tonkin,Reinke missing and lost Ben Daniels (took an hour to get the ambulamce)
MJ and Mike Orbons took Brown off late and played with17
Congratulations to Scott Forrest on his first A grade game
