Spose those 4 goals he kicked in the GF weren't enough to satisfy the TV faithful.........Seems like several other Hills Clubs share Kersbrook's opinion on clearing players and common sense does exist.

Hey Cougar, was the original clearance lodged before end of Feb? If so, as I understand it, under SANFL law, the clearance can only be rejected if unfinancial or under contract. Last time I looked, there was no written by-law or anything in the HFL constitution to state otherwise.

Think your on the Money there, and reckon the HFL tribunal's decision will be taken to the SANFL, where hopefully common sense prevails, as it seems the Tribunal put in another by-law called 'Give enough SERVICE'. Unfortunately if Kersbrook does appeal to the SANFL, we can't afford a QC.

So where does this leave Brad Lees????

Surely he does not want to go back to TV after not being cleared. Does this mean the Hills leauge looses a good footballer because of TV.

Bit unfortunate for all involved. Brad Lees with no game this weekend.

Doesn't bother me but "give the club more service"? Didn't that go out with drop kicks?? Perhaps the tribunal needs some people who are in touch with the today's world of football!

ha so he actually went, yeh he did win it

That means IB lost 4 players in total from 2007, and theres about 20 new faces on the track... And we easily filled a C grade team last year. Will be tough to get a guernsey

I think saying Sodomka has 'signed' with Meadows is a bit much. He will play there in B Grade unless there is a big turnaround in his training regime. If he has signed anything it would be some pre-signed autographs for all his fans.

I know nothing about Brad Lees but if he was a paid player then fair enough for a football club to think it has been hard done by when a bloke disappears after a handfull of games. If you want to be paid you should consider yourself effectively an 'employee' of the club and the last thing a business needs is a high turnover of staff. Shame football is heading this way.

Cougar, you have said before that Kersbrook generally does not pay blokes to play football. Does that mean Brad Lees was coming to Kersbrook for no $$$?

Brad Lees was coming to Kersbrook to get paid the same $$$$ that I get paid a game. Can't tell ya what he was on at TV as that's between him and GH, but know he doesn't owe them any money i.e. subs, match payments paid forward etc etc. His connection with Kersbrook is that he is a cousin of Paul James Girlfriend (She is a McLean and sister to the pair at Uraidla) and knows several of the Kersbrook players quite well.

t/valley we know think the whole league owe's them, but if you really want a shot at someone the clearance tribunal clowns all of them over 60 should not have the right to tell anyone where they can play footy if they are not under contract. It's time for these guy's to stand aside for a modern day panel of commissioners

Fair bit of talk about someone who goes to water as soon as someone goes near him. Can't anyone lay a tackle in Hills Country?

Cougar, I've read the story in the Courier re your oval debacle. What input, if any, did KFC have in the discussions with Council and the Big O? Sounds like another controversy before the season has even started. Aren't the League meant to act in the best interests of their member clubs? So surely the Park Committee/Footy Club should have been involved. Was any attempt made to solicit the opinions of the sporting bodies?

Echunga
Meadows
Callington
Macclesfield

Shame that $ had to enter the calculations though...........
