Can play footy apparently - gun cricketer too.
I saw him hit a ball onto Brighton Road at Glenelg once.

I have seen a lot of Footy in the recent years out at the Mallee and Rodney may complain but it is in his own quiet way... he gets on with the job where drew may let it affect him, drew is regularly in the wrong position to complain where as Rodney is always in front or with his body in between his opponent and the ball, and usually being targeted by younger over zealous opponents...

if the great man rodney maynard got man handled as much as drew does with out getting free kicks he would not complain so quietly

so you now agree that rodney doesn't winge as much as drew? we are getting places....
to continue....If you play from behind the contest then it does not matter if you have 3 zoning off or 400, you are not in a position to get free kicks, when players zone off they generally play from in front of the contest, I have seen crane take some amazing marks and so often these have been from behind...he relies heavily on his body work and so often he pushes off his defender goalside....
To say that he deserves more free kicks then he gets is stupidity as the decisions that go his way totally even out those which go against...
again.... drew is regularly in the wrong position to complain where as Rodney is always in front or with his body in between his opponent and the ball, and usually being targeted by younger over zealous opponents regardless of how many people are defending him...

Murrayville v Karoonda
Murrayville had a comfortable win over Peake last week, without kicking a huge score. Will Dalwood returned with a BOG performance and will be a great acquisition if he plays all year. Drew Crane & Clayton Sporn are strong targets up forward with Shannon Wyatt chipping in with 4 goals against Peake. Kevin Wyatt & Damien Fenoughty are quality midfielders & Murrayville are looming as a top two team this year.
Karoonda went down badly to Lameroo last week. Luke Hocking, Scott Huxtable & Donald Andrews may return this week to strengthen the midfield & forward line. Justin Maloney, Simon Martin, Mal McLean, Stephen Thiele & Todd Boughen work hard in the midfield with Jason Morris winning his share of the ruck duels. Eli Koch is in great form at centre half back.
Murrayville should have the edge over Karoonda.
BDT v Lameroo
BDT went down to Pinnaroo last week and face another tough match against Lameroo this week. Josh Richardson is in sensational form and Ashley Masters is a good recruit. Jack Zacker has been amongst the best in the first two matches and Matt Schilling is improving all the time.
Lameroo have a team of runners. Shaun Walker, Rodney Maynard, Dan Wohling, Josh & Matt Ridgway, Brad Zerk, Stephen Kerley, Crig Wellburn & Alan Penhall run & support each other all day. Ben Venning is tall & mobile & Chris Philbey is always dangerous in attack.
Lameroo will win and remain undefeated.
Pinnaroo v Peake
Pinnaroo played well to defeat BDT last week and will front Peake with plenty of confidence. Sunyl Vogt returned with a BOG performance and James Struck shone in his first game for Pinnaroo. Mark Gum kicked goals and colt Dylan Ribbons chipped in with 3 goals. Scott Kirkbright is showing the form that has been missing over the last couple of years and Matt Thiel, Wade & Chad Nickolls are big men who know how to find the football.
Peake would have been heartened by last weeks effort against Murrayville. Gareth Diprose is always around the mark, Kenton Heym & Jason Lindner are consitent performers & Toby Downs continues to be the focal point in attack. Mark Boothey is settling in well at full back and Shaun Holland is another recruit who shows plenty of promise.Pinnaroo to win two in a row.

Who writes this tripe LOL. Boothy has only played a quater and a bit at full back so far this season and dutchy will tell you he is playing no where near his best. Boothy went on to the almighthy Crane for the second half of last week and matched him well i thought. Apart from the free kicks we have already chatted about. You wont find Boothy spending much time at Full Back. Are you allowed to have a marking contest in this grade!
